My Experience

I previously worked as a nanny for two young children aged 8 months and 4 years. Before that I worked as a nanny for two families, looking after children aged between 2 and 6.

My main responsibilities as a nanny;
- School drop offs and pick ups
- Cooking a hot meal for lunch, providing healthy snacks throughout the day and preparing tea for the children on a daily basis
- Supervising and playing with the children
- Driving the children to parks and playgrounds, leisure centres, swimming pools, the library, indoor soft play areas and other venues the children would enjoy
- Encourage development in skills including reading, writing, counting, drawing, dressing, telling the time etc
- Ensuring the children's rooms and play areas are tidy, encouraging the children to tidy up after themselves, and keeping the kitchen and dining area clean and tidy after use
- Shopping for the children's needs if required
- Building trusting and professional working relationships with parents.

Before I decided to become a nanny, I was a nursery nurse (then promoted to supervisor) in a day-care children's nursery, caring for infants aged between 3 - 18months. I joined the nursery as a student during my studies at college and when I qualified and graduated- I was employed to work full time (from September 2011 to December 2013)

I have over 8 years experience in childcare, which includes experience with newborns and young infants. I have enjoyed helping in children's clubs in the past (ages 4-11) and I have 10 years experience of regular babysitting.

My Qualifications

I have a level 3 BTEC national diploma in children's care, learning and development.
I hold a clear DBS check and have recently updated my first aid training.
I have also attended safeguarding and babysitting courses.

My Availability

Currently looking for occasional babysitting jobs.

Available for babysitting- weekday evenings and weekends.
