About Me
I am a qualified Primary Teacher having worked many years in different educational settings including nurseries, state and private schools. I have been a 1-1 tutor for nearly 10 years, building confidence to pupils in areas they find challenging.
My Experience
I am a qualified and experienced primary teacher who has worked at many primary schools across Leicestershire. My teaching and learning stems across the Primary Curriculum, including EYFS, Key Stage 1 and 2, and preparing children for SATs. I have vast experience working alongside children with SEN, including Autism, Asperger, ADHD, and Dyslexia. I have worked in the education system for 15 years and tutored for 10 years. It is an absolute passion of mine to teach children and to see them excel in areas they find challenging. Just as the Education system continues to adapt and change, it is important to recognise that each child learns in their unique way, so each of my tutoring sessions would be adapted to the pupils needs. This would slowly build their confidence through scaffolding, encouragement, and challenges, ultimately fostering independence to achieve their best.
My Qualifications
PGCE (SCITT) Primary and Early Years - University of Leicester.
BA (Hons) Education Studies with Psychology - De Montfort University.
Children's Care Learning & Development - Leicester College.
