My Summary
About Me
I am 54 years old with two children one aged 27 years and one aged 18 years (both boys). I live in Hanworth in Bracknell in a three bedroom house. I have a homely, secure, well equipped setting with a lovely playroom which provides ample opportunities to teach and encourage children to develop, learn and grow and most importantly where they can have lots of fun and experiences. I have a spacious back garden where I encourage outdoor play activities.
I have two friendly Dachshund dogs. The dogs are kept separate from the children but we do have petting time with them
I am CRB and DBS checked and both my sons are also DBS checked
Children enjoy learning and play through a safe, secure, friendly loving environment that provides daily activities and outings.
My Experience
I registered as a childminder in October 2006. I have two Ofsted report grades at ' Good' and two at 'Outstanding'
I have minded many children of varying ages, cultures and religious backgrounds. Cultures and religious beliefs are respected.
I have excellent references from other parents.
I track children's development using the EYFS (Early Years Foundation Stage) stages of development and by carrying out Observations using Babydays
I use Babydays which gives information on your child's day, sleep times, nappy changing, times of snacks and lunch, your child's development, photographs, etc.
I plan weekly activities and outings. Activities include arts and crafts, cookery , sensory play, construction using all sorts of materials, play dough, role play, puzzles, stories, nursery rhymes music and dance and much much more. We visit toddler groups, libraries and indoor play weekly and also go on special outings .
I carry out risk assessments, daily fridge temperature checks, smoke alarm detector checks and have a carbons monoxide detector to ensure your children are cared for in a safe environment.

Jo is a wonderful lady, she looked after my daughter from 6 months until just before her 4th birthday when we had to move out the area.
Jo is very effective and plans lots of activities and learning on a daily basis. My daughter loved spending time there and was always doing something.
Jo was easy to get along will and very flexible when required.
