About Me
I have been a registered childminder in Hamilton since 2012. I run my service from the playroom and garden in my home however, we are rarely ever in, in the morning, as myself and my mindees regularly attend toddlers, bookbug,visits to the park, childminding run softplay in burnbank, forest group, to name but a few experiences our little ones partake in.
My Experience
I have been a registered childminder since August 2012 and have been childminding preschool and afterschool since then. I can safely say it has been the best decision I have made and myself, and my family have thoroughly enjoyed watching all of our little ones blossom .
Over the years, some of the children have come with specific needs like celiac disease, lactose intolerance, and more recently, diabetes. For each child, I have worked side by side with the parents, and health visitor/nurse, to ensure the best care for the child can be offered
My first inspection(July 2013) graded a 5(very good), my second was in May 2017 where I retained my grade 5s and my recent inspection on 2 February 2024, I have again retained all of my grade 5 across the board.

Pediatric First Aid Feb 2014, Feb 2017 and January 2020, November 2022 . .
My Availability
Full days, half days or nursey collection/drop offs available. Working days are Tuesday to Friday 8am to 5pm

I had recently moved to the Hamilton area and i sent my son Luca to Lorraine a few days during the week whilst i attended university and Luca attended afternoon nursery. Lorraine was quick to make me feel comfortable leaving Luca with her. Lorraine was so friendly and so interested in not only Luca but myself as she took the time to get to know us and through out my time with Lorraine she never stopped taking an interest on myself and Luca. When Luca was outwith his routine his behavior would sometimes become difficult to manage and he would act out with tempers and other ways to let out his frustration. This left me feeling anxious leaving Luca with somebody else although Lorraine knew how to deal with it perfectly and i actually ended up asking Lorraine for tips on some issues! Lorraine also took time out of her person life to attend a couple of meetings at Lucas nursery regarding his behavior which highlights just how much Lorraine cares for the children she looks after. Whilst Luca was with Lorraine, he was always coming home with arts & crafts he had done and he had always learned something new each day! Lorraine keeps them busy and Luca absolutely loved getting dropped off in the mornings. Lorraine would keep me updated through out the day of how Lucas day had went which made it easier knowing i wasn't missing out on any of Lucas learning process whilst at university. Luca loved going to Lorraines and also loved seeing Lorraines family. Sadly we had to find a new childminder due to Luca starting school and needing different hours although Lorraine continues to keep in touch to see how Luca is doing at school! A very lovely kind woman. :)
