About Me
***Available as Emergency/temporary nanny cover when and if your nanny is away or unwell. Alternatively I am available for outdoors babysitting/childcare/activities. I live by the Ashdown Forest and I don’t drive.
Experienced nanny/babysitter, organised, punctual and creative. Interested in children's development. I have a Psychology degree and I am a transpersonal coach and run my own business. I am primarily looking for ad-hoc childcare in my local area (Forest Row). I am currently in the process of starting a MS in counselling and psychotherapy.
My main interests are : Cooking healthy meals, creativity, reading, writing, travelling, music, mindfulness, singing, dancing, exploring nature, yoga, children's development, art, psychology, science, traveling, growing my own food, journaling.
My Experience
I am a mature nanny with over 10 years experience looking after children from 0 to 15 years.
Some of my experiences include:
Group leader for Tablehurst young farmers. I led activities and group games for children aged 6-10 every Thursdays, term time at Tablehurst farm in Forest Row.
Part-time nanny looking after a 16 months baby, taking him out to the park or children centre, feeding, playing, reading stories, singing rhymes.
Part time after school nanny looking after 5 years old twins, helping them with homework; taking them to swimming lessons, cooking together, doing arts and crafts activities, singing and dancing, role playing, creating costumes, story telling; meal preparation, bath/bed time routine.
Volunteering for the Ebin foundation and Jungle Pool in Goa, India. Organising arts and crafts activities with special needs children; assisting during water therapies, swimming activities and yoga classes. Story telling, face painting, singing, dancing and playing in the sand.
Ad-hoc babysitting, preparing supper, assisting with bed time routine, storytelling/reading stories.
My Qualifications
Diploma di maturità equivalent to A levels in Italian literature and philosophy.
Permaculture design course diploma.
BTEC level 1 in child care.
BS in psychology at the Open University.
My Availability
I am currently available ad-hoc and to cover for your nanny if she is away or unwell. I am occasionally available on Saturdays as well. I will need plenty of notice, so please if you need emergency cover and you know the dates ahead contact me to discuss further.

What I offer in my babysitting hours:
-Outdoors and seasonal activities, walking in the woods learning about trees, plants, animals, nature cycles and seasons.
-Cooking/baking.
-Sound and music therapy, singing, dancing, story telling.
-Art and crafts activities, nature crafts, I can provide equipment as requested.
-I can help your child practice Italian and Spanish.
-I can supervise homework/music practice.
-I can help establish and cultivate hobbies.
-I am available for nanny share.
I encourage children to play outdoors and spend time in nature, cultivating curiosity and imagination.

Guisy came to work with me as a 'Mother help' when my son (20 months) was recovering from Orthopaedic Surgery and in a Spica Cast. She was interested to work with children needing special care and she showed immediate enthusiasm to learn what was required.
Now that my son is recovered she has been his sole care nanny and evening babysitter on occasion.
Guisy has a wonderful personality, she is an open and honest communicator, is warm and gentle in her approach and overall extremely conscientious in her role. My son immediately warmed to Guisy, as did I.
Guisy’s play and activity with my son is always energetic, they go for walks in park, do singing together and sometimes creative activities. She maintains his routine, asks all the rights questions and most of all keeps me informed.
She is a trustworthy person and I am very confident leaving my son in her care.

Giusy looked after both my children (aged 5 and 2) weekly over a period of about a year. She is extremely caring and conscientious, and has a warm, gentle manner. I always felt confident leaving my children with her as I knew they would be well cared for, and have a great time. I honestly can't think of any negatives about the care Giusy provided for my children, she is a genuinely lovely person and I would highly recommend her to anyone looking for childcare.

Giusy looked after our little boy from June to December last year for 3 days per week. She was always punctual, warm, enthusiastic, fun and caring. She is very creative and our little boy loved doing music and art sessions with her. She stuck to our routine, and our little boy always seemed happy and content to be looked after by her. She always told me what happened during the day so she is very trustworthy. It is without hesitation that I recommend her to any family.
