Hi, Thanks for reading my profile, My name is Sarah, I live with my husband and 2 grown up children in a detached house, in a private drive with large enclosed garden, with playground and outdoor arts & crafts & messy play area. In the beautiful semi rural area of kingston Seymour, yet conveniently positioned for clevedon (5 min drive to tesco roundabout) and yatton also 5 minutes
I employ an assistant which allows me to care for a larger number of children
I provide a warm and friendly, atmosphere, where everyone is welcome in a home from home environment, putting the child's interests, at the centre of everything we do.
I have a Clear DBS , hold a valid paediatric first aid certificate, level 3 in childcare and regularly update my skills at relevant training courses.
My 3 most recent OFSTED inspections we’re good good and outstanding
I am registered with North Somerset Council and can offer the 30 hours free childcare. *subject to eligibility.
I also accept childcare vouchers and tax free childcare and the new extended funding offering for babies from 9months (sept 24)
In terms of activities, We are strongly focused on following the child's interests, and are led heavily by this, however to ensure we abide by the EYFS, we also plan activities, to develop the 7 areas of learning. Activities may include: walks in the woods, messy/sensory play, library story time, toddler/childminder groups, soft play, dance classes, arts & crafts and lots more ...
I firmly believe that children learn from play and everyday experiences and ensure we have lots of fun along the way :)
My Experience
I have 29 years of experience with my own children, 11 years as a childminder and a year as a nanny ??
I have completed my CYPOP 5 in childminding and hold a Level 3 qualification in childcare. I am continuing with my ongoing training, with the local authority, to ensure my skills are kept up to date. I regularly attend quality improvement cluster meetings aswell as council recommended training sessions.
