About Me
I have been minding for 20 years and offer a happy, friendly atmosphere. I offer home cooked meals, lots of toys. I live opposite a park that has recently been re vamped. The children love to go over there to play.We often go over there for picnics and to meet up with other friends and childminders.At present I have a full/part time space available I go to Cherry Grove school.I have been 22 years as a mother, 7 years as a nanna, and 20 years as a childminder. Lots of experience.The children have called it the HAPPY HOUSE, which is now our name.
My Experience
22 years as a mother., 7 years as a nanna, I have 4 grandchildren, 20 years as a childminder. I have had a level 3 qualification for 8 years, it is now required before you even start to be a childminder.Most of my minded children I have had from tiny babies, one being from 7 days and another 2 weeks. I still get children who have left me popping in to say hi, or drink/ food. I have provided work experience for someone that I used to childmind and has now gone into midwifery.
My Qualifications
paediatric first aid
quality first level 3( alevel standard)
NVQ level 3 ccld teachers exam. a level standard.ages 0-16
a number of ongoing updating exams certificates available to view ie safe handling,child protection
I am registered as a food business and have been approved by health and hygiene with the relevent cetificate and i provide home cooked meals if required
currently studying for the next two and a half years for my degree
I have completed all of PACEYS pre inspection webinars, with the most upto date information
Also Morten Michael's on line laser learning courses. These include .nutrition for early years, working in partnership with parents, promoting positive behaviour, plus more for you to view.
5 star rating as a food business the highest standard.
Currently over a 3 month period updating level 3 Pdp
My Availability
VACANCY from JULY 2024 7am to 7pm but available for shift workers so am very flexible about these hours
Mon to Sat flexible.I have cover from a fellow child minder who I've worked closely alongside over the last 20 we de ver de a years and she is happy with notice to cover the odd weekend when I'm off
ALSO AVAILABLE FOR WEDDINGS.IF YOU NEED AN AREA SUPERVISED AT YOUR WEDDING DEPENDING ON THE NUMBER OF CHILDREN MYSELF AND FELLOW CHILDMINDERS COULD LOOK AFTER THE GUESTS CHILDREN AND WATCH OVER THEM IN THE SLEEPING QUARTERS.

My Fees
- Babysitting from £20.00 per hour
- Childminding from £5.00 per hour
£5 per hour or £10 before school and £15 after school until 6pm then plus £5 per hr.
At my last inspection my grade was GOOD. if you contact me I will show you how to access my last report through ofsted
fees for new years eve to be negotiated.
I f you want to go christmas shopping in peace it will be £5ph for occasional sitting from my home. Numbers limited

I met Heather when I was looking for childcare, and was pleased with everything I saw and how she was.
Although I have not chosen Heather as a childminder, it was purely because someone else was more suitable for us in a difficult working situation we have.
I would happily leave my child with her from what I have seen, and may well do in the future as she provides some cover for the childminder I have chosen.
