My Summary

My Experience

I am a highly experienced childminder and have been a childminding now for 25 years. In our last inspection (March 2019) we where graded Outstanding. we have a great interest in children's development, following the EYFS and Characteristics of Effective Learning. We treat each child as an individual and they are well cared for in a loving home environment with plenty fun things for them to do with all needs provided for both children and parents.

September 2011 my daughter Georgina joined the setting as my assistant, because she has lived with me doing child care for most of her life she has become a great asset helping in every aspect of the day and the children love having her around to play with.


As childminders we have to deliver the EYFS (early years foundation stage) to all children, following their development and progress helping them to achieve their potential and goals before starting school, so all children attending my setting have their own progress file filled with all the fun things we do with lots and lots of photos.
At two years we will do an assessment on the children which the parents will be involved in discussion highlighting all goals, achievements and any matters that need more improvement..

All babies and children are well cared for, following parents routines and requests ,with so many ways to stay in contact with you by texting, emails, facetime, WhatsApp or a good old fashioned phone call we can always brighten up your day with a cheeky photo and message.

Young children learn so much through play and when they fill safe well loved and secure this all makes for happy children, parents and childminders.
We have two little Shih Tzu dogs Billy & Hudson who are very friendly and love playing with the children and two cats Ruby & lou-lou.

My Qualifications

Diploma in Home-based childcare, level 3 in which I received an A

Paediatric First Aid

I attended various courses run by the local council and PACEY, which cover all aspects of training, keeping childcare practitioners updated with current legislation and any changes within early years.
