Hello!
I'm Lisa and I've worked in childcare for over 20 years. The last 15 of those years I have been working from my own home as an Ofsted registered childminder. I live with my husband and two children, Jamie is 10 and Ivy is 7. We're a fun loving family and love having a busy and lively houseful of little friends!
We also have two cats called Logan and Luna who are full of mischief and much loved members of our family!
Before becoming a mummy I was heavily involved in musical theatre. I was also in a rock band and had a lot of fun! Singing remains my hobby and I'd love to get back into it all one day.
My Experience
I have always worked with children and I have over 20 years of experience in various childcare settings. I love little people and find this role so rewarding.
Before getting married and having two children of my own I worked mainly as a nanny. I have also worked as a teaching assistant, nursery nurse and in a holiday park running a kids clubs. I have had great opportunities to travel with my nanny work and have worked with many different little characters of all ages.
My Qualifications
CACHE Level 3 Diploma in Childcare and Education
Paediatric First Aid
Safeguarding level 3
Primary Certificate in Food Hygiene
NCFE CACHE Level 2 Award in An Introduction to Neuroscience in Early Years
My Availability
Early Years Spaces Available from September!
I have time to get to mostly any of the schools and nurseries north of Colchester before collecting my own children from Parsons Heath Primary because they don't finish there until 3.30pm. I currently only offer term time only contracts but I often run a 'Holiday Club' where extra days in school holidays are usually available to those in need.

My Fees
- Childminding from £6.50 per hour
£6.50 per hour all inclusive of snacks, meals and occasional outings.
I accept government funding but a consumables fee may need to be charged for meals and outings as this isn't covered. Happy to discuss this.
My Local Schools
- I provide drop offs and pick ups at Parsons Heath Church of England Voluntary Controlled Primary School
