Hi, My name is Emma and I have recently relocated back to Whitefield.I have been established as a Childminder for nearly 10 years and have luckily been very busy and had the pleasure of working with some fabulous children and families.
We live in a spacious, comfortable home with large garden and a designated playroom that will be stocked full of carefully chosen toys and resources. We have lots of natural resources and sensory baskets for your child to explore. At The Hive Childminding we especially enjoy arts and crafts and have lots of materials to get creative with!
The 180 ft garden is fully enclosed and we are currently creating a fantastic play space. We are very fortunate that we also have access to our own allotment that we share with our childminding buddy. Plenty of space to burn off energy and develop those gross motor skills. We often dine al fresco on fine days! All resources are aimed at supporting your child to develop in all 7 areas of learning.
One of the benefits of choosing a childminder is the opportunities your child will have to explore their local community on a daily basis. Trips to parks, the shops, sea life, soft play and meeting with other childminders and their children will be a large part of your child's experience whilst here at The Hive.
Children will visit the supermarket to choose their own snacks, chat to older folk on our walks, learn about road safety whilst doing the school run and ultimately learn about the world around them whilst gaining confidence and independence.
I offer a home from home environment for your little one. We are a very family orientated setting. The children quickly forge friendships with each other, especially with my own daughters(19,15 and 8)
We have a Mercedes Vito 8 seater van that is fully insured for business use. We provide age/size appropriate car seats for our little ones.
I offer pre school places aged 0 - 5 and also school pick ups at Heaton Park Primary school only.
My Experience
As an experienced mother, I have experience with all age ranges of children. I have spent most of my working life working with the elderly and disabled and have decided to use the skills and qualities required to provide children with the best start in life.

Emma - Thank you so much for everything! we are just so glad that the time Paisley got with you she absolutely loved. To see how content she was and how she would happily walk in every day, really made my day ❤️
We can’t thank you enough for everything you did for Teddy & Paisley, all the time and effort you spent preparing activities, all the places you took them, all the things you did both indoors and outdoors - you made sure they experienced everything and for that we are so grateful. In the space of time they were both with you, you shaped them into the children they are today.
We really appreciate everything you’ve done and I know Paisley is going to miss you so much! All I can hope is that she feels as settled and content in her new venture as she does with you.
I hope you guys are happy and succeed in everything you do in Manchester - the children you go on to look after there will be THE luckiest children ❤️❤️❤️

My son absolutely loved going to Emmas. He started going when he was 8/9 months old (he's now 2). we feel his delevopment has come on so well since going. He enjoyed his days out and when dropping him off he couldn't wait to get inside and learn and play. Couldn't recommend her enough. xx

My little boy has been going to Emma since he was 9 months old and he couldn’t be happier. George loves all the different activities and has learnt so much being with Emma. He became part of the family very quickly and Is excited to go every morning, we would move with her if we could! Couldn’t recommend her more 😊

I couldn’t recommend Emma more as a childminder, my child learnt brilliant cognitive skills from a very young age of 9 months old and learnt how to interact and play. Emma’s childcare setting is both safe and stimulating and very encouraging of child development Even after being our childminder Emma has helped me with much needed tips through areas like potty training which has really come in handy for someone who hasn’t done it before. Emma’s experience of being a mum and a childminder for so long gives children a comfortable nurturing environment which is one of the main things I look for in a childcare provider I couldn’t recommend her more :)
