My Summary
About Me
With a genuine love for my career, I am an experienced nanny who is passionate about providing a loving, adventurous, fun approach to childcare. I am calm and fair always with a healthy amount of energetic and silly and love encouraging time outside, creativity and lots of fun to my work. I love being part of a families "team" and always engage with the children in a respectful way, encouraging an inquisitive nature and independence. I am a huge advocate for learning through play and really enjoy not just watching over the children in my care but getting properly involved in their adventures, play and imagination too.
My Experience
I have been in childcare for over 15 years, qualifying with a level 2 in children's care learning and development at just 15 and then going on to achieving an NVQ level 3 in childcare alongside and apprenticeship in a nursery at 18. I have since studied many other courses including "supporting children with autism" and food and nutrition too.
I studied and passed 11 GCSE's in maths, statistics, science, Spanish, English, food and nutrition and geography.
After gaining my level 3, I changed paths and worked for my first nanny family; triplets with varying additional needs and abilities ( in this role I looked after a little girl with quadriplegic cerebral palsy and was tasked with tube feeding and physio work) Since then I have had the pleasure of working with many different families in wonderful destinations around the world as well as managing the childcare programme for a reputable ski company where I was tasked with managing an immediate team of 18 nannies whilst overseeing the childcare across a number of ski resorts.
After a lot of travel and work in different places, I made my way back to London and eventually ended up with my current family, with whom I have had the absolute pleasure of working with for the last (nearly) 5 and a half years.
My experience is vast and has helped shaped me into an incredibly competent, positive and caring nanny. I have an absolute love for my job and genuinely feel so privileged to get to do something I love every day.
