Great care

My daughter has been with Filsane and Adrian for over two years (since 8 months old). I have enjoyed watching her progress and development which has been supported and promoted at Honey Bunch Childcare. Seeing my child go in and come out with a smile, brings me confidence that she is in the right place and she is well looked after. I would recommend Honey Bunch Childcare.

Brilliant and friendly childminder

I am very happy to recommend Honeybunch childcare. My daughter has been attending for almost a year and from the very beginning she was settled there, this is thanks to Filsane's very caring and friendly nature. When I drop off my daughter in the morning, she is very excited to be there. There is a combination of educational routine and fun activities which is an excellent environment for a toddler to develop. In addition, there is a useful app which honeybunch use which provides an update each day of activities, photos and naps etc. In particular, my daughter had some trouble with ezcema and Filsane was very attentive to help treat her, which demonstrates the level of care Honeybunch provides.

Our extended family

Having spent quite some time visiting a number of childcarers and nurseries, and being anxious about leaving our daughter anywhere, we finally found Filsane and Adrian and immediately knew this was perfect for ours and our daughter’s needs. The settling in period seemed to be really easy, and from day one Matilda has been cared for, kept active, fed healthily, nurtured and developed beyond our expectations. Filsane and Adrian now feel like an extended part of our family and our daughter Matilda absolutely loves both them, their daughters and the extended Honeybunch Childcare family. She can’t wait to see them every day, and can’t wait to tell us what she’s been up to when she arrives home. We can’t rate them highly enough. It will be a very sad day for us all when she leaves this wonderful setting.

Nuturing, Fun and Professional

Honeybunch Child Carers have been looking after my 2 year old daughter since Febuary 2018.

I have been extremely happy with the care my daughter has received, and the great progress she has made whilst in Filsane's care at Honeybunch Child Carers. Filsane's home is always welcoming, clean and well organised and my daughter has great fun playing with all the toys available and with the other children. Beyond all this it is Filsane's warm, friendly and experienced approach which creates a nuturing enviroment for the children.

Honeybunch Child Carers provide a wide, fun range of activities including trips outdoors. I know my daugther has enjoyed sand and water play, drawing and sticking, reading and puzzles as well as outings to the park, trips to playgroup and the petting farm. It is always lovely to recieve arts and crafts my daughter at the end of the day as enjoys making them whether it be for mothers day, Christmas etc.

Filsane is a great communicator and has no trouble in gaining my daughter's confidence and therefore encouraging good behaviour, kindness and compassion to others, skills which are important to us at home. When she is hurt or feeling under the weather I know that she feels happy to be comforted by Filsane and I am confident that she can administer either first aid or medication following all the correct procedures and completing the necessary records to ensure his health and safety.

Filsane provides food and snacks each day which are healthy and nutritious. Filsane completes a diary detailing what my daugther has done each day. From this I have a complete picture of her whole day including what she has eaten, how long she has slept and all her activities. This helps me to feel involved with my daughters care and that I can talk to her about her day.

All in all I am thoroughly happy with the level of care my daugther receives and I’m certain that being in such a positive and happy environment is helping her develop into a confident, switched on and self assured little girl.

Being a first time mum when returning back to work Filsane has been supportive and collaborative in her approach. I have always trusted that my daughter is in good hands whilst I am at work and as such I am happy to recommend Filsane as a great and reliable childminder.

Home from home

I highly recommend HoneyBunch childcare. As others have said, it really feels like a home from home environment, exuding warmth. Filsane and Adrian clearly care very much for the children and the feelings are definitely reciprocated. Our boys have made good friends with the other children and often talk about them to us. The pickup and drop off service has been a godsend to us as working parents, I don't know what we'd do without it.
Their new house is even better than the old house, with lots of space for the children to play together or have quiet time as needed.

Outstanding

We would highly recommend Filsane to anyone looking for childcare. We trust Filsane completely, and have learnt so much from her, which has been really important for us as first time parents! Our daughter Dilara has been with Filsane for about two years now, starting when she was 9 months old. I was very nervous about Dilara starting childcare, but she settled so quickly and I really feel like Filsane and her family are now a home from home for Dilara.

The communication is excellent, with daily diaries and photos, with details of what they have eaten, how their naps went etc. Filsane was really great with slowly introducing Dilara into the routine at her house and is always available to discuss anything like the transition to one nap instead of two, potty training, eating independently etc. Filsane really is very knowledgeable about all things childhood-related. We feel very supported by her and often ask her for advice!

Our daughter has made some great friends at Filsane's house, and loves Filsane's two daughters and her partner Adrian (we have dolls named after them at home!). The house is a warm and loving environment, and they really care about the children they look after. Filsane is also very focused on their early education and preparing them for school, and Dilara has learnt an enormous amount. She has grown from a baby into a very communicative and happy toddler - we have so much to thank Filsane & her family for and feel incredibly lucky to have found them.

Warm Nurturing Childcare Environment - Highly Reco

We really wanted our son to go to a childcare setting that felt like home from home. Somewhere safe, stimulating and warm. We were heartened by the reviews of Honey Bunch and as soon as we met Filsane at her home, we knew that she genuinely loved looking after little ones and that it was more than just a job to her.

I thought it would be impossible to return to work and leave my son with anyone other than family but all I could do was go with my gut instinct and my mother's instinct and I felt safe in the knowledge that my son would be in that happy, caring environment. Knowing how anxious I was about having to leave him for the first time, Filsane sent me videos of my son enjoying his time there to reassure me which further showed that, as a mother, she understood the natural anxieties around leaving your child for the first time.

For the first few weeks and months my son was very needy and after attaching himself to Filsane shadowed her around the house and didn't leave her side. She was super patient with this and kept encouraging and reassuring us that it was normal and would improve and eventually over time as his confidence grew he settled in. It filled me with such happiness to hear him talk excitedly about his day and also mention the other carers, particularly Muna, who he has become very fond of and Adrian, Filsane's husband, who is equally warm, kind, positive and incredibly supportive of our son. To be honest I would not have previously thought I would feel so comfortable having a male carer in the mix but Adrian is a real asset to their team. Their bright, kind, sociable daughters are also testament to the love they have in the house for each other and you genuinely feel as if your child is an extended member of their family.

Something I really like about the Honeybunch setting is that Filsane is passionate about structured learning and creative play and follows the EYFS framework. The staples of counting, seasons, days of the week, months, alphabet etc are all instilled and every 6 months you have a developmental review where you sit down and go through the progress of your child. But in addition to this, Filsane goes that extra mile with themed months, fun excursions to the theatre, firestation or farm. At the most simple level, they will have splash time in the paddling pool in their garden during the hotter summer months and fortnightly trips to the local playgroup. During the Olympics Filsane created a mini olympics circuit in her back garden for the children to compete and win medals. They had so much fun. That extra passion and attention to detail is appreciated and their daily activities are captured in a online diary which is so useful to see and helps you reconnect with your child when you have had a long day at work.

It's also reassuring to know that your child is receiving hot cooked meals every day. We are appreciative to Filsane and her team for looking after our son over the past 20 months. He talks about Filsane, her team and his little friends with such fondness and has clearly loved his time there. They have given him the nurtured start we wanted and have also been very open to collaborative approach to caring for our son, taking our points, suggestions, concerns and anxieties on board and being generous, positive and accommodating all the way.

We would have no hesitation in recommending Honeybunch childcarers and feel lucky that we found them.

Filsane has been very efficient and helpful during the settling period, and my son now confidently says goodbye to me and cannot wait to get stuck into activities with Filsane and his friends. She is as a caring childminder who really enjoys her time with children in her care, and makes their time away from home enjoyable. I highly recommend Filsane's childcare which is fully supported by my son's happy smiling face at the end of every day he has spent in her care.

Absolutely recommend and reliable childminder

I have been extremely happy with the care Mia has received, and the great progress she has made whilst in Filsane’s care. Filsane's home is always welcoming, clean and well organised and Mia has great fun playing with all the toys available and with the other children in her care. Beyond all this though, it is Filsane’s warm and friendly but no nonsense approach which sets her apart from other childminders we have experienced.

She provides a wide, fun range of activities including plenty of outdoor exercise. I know Mia has recently enjoyed sand and water play, drawing and sticking, reading and puzzles as well as outings to the park, trips to feed the ducks and walks in the woods.

Filsane is a great communicator and has no trouble in gaining Filsane’s confidence and therefore encouraging good behaviour and kindness and compassion to others, both skills which are important to us at home. When Mia steps outside his boundaries she responds with firm but kind discipline explaining what we would like to see in terms which she understands. Outstanding childcare service

I would recommend Filsane to anyone looking for a childminder without hesitation. Filsane has looked after both our sons, Hugo since he was 10 and a half months and Noah since he was a year old and I couldn’t be happier. They have both thrived under her care and I could go back to work knowing that they were being looked after in a safe, clean and caring environment. Their daily routine includes a nap and nutritious home cooked meals as well as healthy snacks. Going back to work and leaving my first child was not an easy decision but once I had found Filsane and saw how Hugo immediately felt at ease with her, put my mind at rest. Noah has been the same. Filsane also provides a daily diary and photos which means I can share their experiences that same evening which they love.

Filsane has created a unique setting where even though they are in the safety and security of a family home, they are also immersed in an educational and sensory environment. They follow the EYL programme and I can see how both the boys have benefited from being taught in a smaller group. They are taken on excursions and learn how to socialise with their friends, preparing them for their next step into formal education at reception.
