About Me
Hi my name is Michelle Kelley, I am an accredited registered child minder recently graded outstanding by Ofsted in may 2018. I live with my Husband and 2 children Jake and Phoebe .
I am passionate and dedicated to making the early years count. I find working with babies and young children fantastically rewarding and we have great fun learning together and building wonderful relationships. I make sure that the children I care for have a lot of fun at my setting, we have a large playroom indoors, outside we have a large secure garden for children to run and release all their energy. I also work with my husband, Stuart, who has a lot of experience working with children and young people. He has worked as a qualified Youth Worker for 15 years and can provide a positive male role model. With a home based child-minder your child will have the benefit of being looked after in a home based environment similar to what they are used to at home. We provide quality, professional childcare where children benefit from being cared for by the same person and therefore have consistency. My Experience
I have experience of being a good mum to my children, and experience of working as a child minder for the last 6 years. I am currently working towards my Level 3 in child care. Little Treasures is very well established now and all the children in our care are very happy. I have gained experience through working closely with the children I care for and building very good, close relationships with parents. Stuart has worked with children and young people for 15 years since qualifying as a Youth Worker in 1999. he has worked in youth centres, a youth hostel, young peoples advice and Information centre and various other youth projects throughout his career. More recently he has worked on national initiatives such as book-start, chatter books, story & rhyme sessions, breakfast clubs as well as many other projects. He has many years experience working with young children and their parents/families and brings a lot of creativity that will help Little Treasures provide quality professional childcare.
My Qualifications
I have completed the cypop 5 childminding qualification, level 3 and 5 safeguarding courses, level 2 food hygiene and a paediatric first aid course. Working with babies course, Behaviour management course.
Stuart has a national diploma in Youth Work, has completed a paediatric first aid course and a safeguarding level 3 course.
