Amazing childminder

We have been so lucky to have Janine as the childminder for both our children. They both started with Janine when they were 1 year old and stayed with her until starting pre-school at age 3. Janine welcomed our boys into her family, providing a safe, structured and stimulating environment for them to learn and grow. She has helped to give them a great start in life and so many happy memories.

Janine always plans fun activities to capture their interests, including lots of time outdoors - which has always been important to us. The boys have enjoyed walks in Richmond Park, trips to Kew Gardens and train journeys into London Waterloo. In addition, Janine plans lovely art and craft activities for them to do at home, developing their fine motor skills and teaching them about key events, such as Mother's Day. They particularly loved making bubble cakes! We love seeing the photos which Janine shares with us every week.

Janine prepares healthy and nutritious meals which our boys have thoroughly enjoyed. They enjoy cooking with her too, eg. making homemade pesto or bread.

Janine is extremely conscientious and we have never had a moment where we doubted that we made the right choice when we chose her to look after our boys. Having the peace of mind that they are so well looked after has been fantastic. We highly recommend her.

A wonderful childminder

We struggled to find good childcare for our eldest. So we were absolutely delighted to discover Janine for our younger two, who she has cared for over the last few years (from age 1 until starting school). I cannot speak highly enough of her. She is everything you could ask for in a childminder.

She is caring, organised and fun. She does a huge variety of activities at her lovely home with the children and also takes them out all over the local area.

She is diligent and safety conscious, meaning you completely trust her with your child. She has a daily diary and photos of what the children have done each day which she shares. The weekly photos that she sends are always a treat to receive.

The children eat really well with Janine. She gets high quality food (organic fruit and veg boxes) and often gives the children what she is making for her own family. Her husband's homemade bread is also a hit. Even when our children don't eat well at home, we can always rely on them eating well at Janine's.

I also love how the children get welcomed into her family. She has two kind and welcoming teenage children who help out during school holidays, the eldest offers a babysitting service too.

Our middle child, who is now at school, always asks to go back to Janine's during school holidays!

Exceptional childminder

Janine has done an outstanding job caring for our daughter from the age of 1-4

She is incredibly organised which means that every day is stimulating, that my daughter learned a huge amount, was always safe and thoroughly enjoyed her time with Janine.

Some of the highlights of Janine’s setting are:

++Her creativity in entertaining the children. She takes the children out daily, to a wide variety of places which they love. She uses every opportunity to engage them - down to making echos under Richmond bridge and looking for letters, numbers and colours in Homebase. She does brilliant creative activities at home as well. My daughter still plays with a crown she made and I have various treasured mother day gifts courtesy of Janine’s care

++Her home setting is safe and nurturing. Janine is incredibly on top of all areas of health and safety and is extremely conscientious. She also feeds the children fantastic home cooked food using a wide range of fresh ingredients.

++She does a great job of keeping parents informed. Every day she goes through a page of notes to describe not only what your child has done during the day, but also notable things they have said, things they really enjoyed, any worries they had etc. Once a week she shows photos from the week as well.

I couldn’t recommend Janine more highly. My daughter will miss her now she is starting school, but I couldn’t have asked for a better start for her
