We finalised terms, interviewed Suzanne and did 2 phone reference calls almost 3 months before an agreed start date for nannying services, but 3 weeks before that start date, Suzanne took another job with more hours (citing personal reasons). Suzanne’s resignation came 3 hours after I had requested that she do a refresher first aid course before she started nannying our 1yo son, as Suzanne had told me that afternoon that her first aid wasn’t up to date.

It had nothing to do with the first aid, I’ve just completed a paediatric course at school like I said I was going to do.
Totally unfair comment.
