Simply the best!

Loretta has been in our lives for two years now and I could not have asked for a safer, more stable or more dependable pair of hands to look after my little girl. My daughter was a Covid baby and was initially so scared of everything from cats to hand dryers. Now two years later I cannot even believe it’s the same little girl. She is so confident and sure of herself but also so polite and considerate of others and I attribute this to the time she’s spent with Loretta. Throughout the two years I’ve been able to have very open and honest conversations with Loretta and she was very clear when my daughter was doing well or where we needed to collectively pull in the same direction e.g. with forgetting manners etc. Loretta is firm but fair and incredibly passionate about her work. I pulled my daughter out of nursery two years ago because I just couldn’t understand what they spent the day doing and this is the best decision I made for her. The real life activities that they get up to have been so pivotal to her development. Even with all the activities they do my daughter is still very switched on with her letters, numbers and reading. I don’t know how they find the time in one day. Today was my daughters first day of school and I’m so happy for this new chapter she is in but I’m really going to miss hearing about all their daily adventures as well as seeing all the photos on the app. I’m quite emotional actually writing this because I know I gave my daughter the best start in life by putting her in Loretta’s hands. She is awesome!

We met Loretta in March 2023 while searching for a childminder for our daughter, Agnes, who was two years and nine months old at the time. Looking back, choosing Loretta was the best decision we could have made for our daughter. Prior to this, Agnes had been cared for by her grandmothers while I worked, making Loretta the first person outside of our family to look after her. Since we speak only Romanian at home and the grandmothers do not speak English, I was concerned that Agnes, born during the pandemic, might struggle to settle in or learn English. However, I was amazed at the progress she made after just two weeks with Loretta—it's all thanks to her! I often say Loretta was sent by God to help us raise and educate Agnes.
At first, I had many fears. Agnes didn’t know any English, was scared of hand dryers, and always wanted to be with me. Now, she speaks so much English, is confident, and enjoys playing and socializing with other children. It truly was the best decision we ever made.
Loretta's approach of having only three or four children creates a unique, nurturing environment where children can grow and develop. This homely atmosphere made it easy for Agnes to settle in quickly. Loretta offers a wide variety of activities—every day, they go to groups, parks, theatre shows, farms, circuses, museums, cinemas, soft play areas, splash parks, upside down house and more. She even planted her first tree with Loretta. Thanks to her, Agnes has experienced many places I would never have had the time or even known about. Everywhere we go, Agnes excitedly tells me, 'Oh, I was here with Loretta!'
Under Loretta's care, Agnes has made incredible progress. She has learned to speak fluent English, which is not spoken at home, and has developed her skills in arts and crafts, letters, numbers, and nursery rhymes. She has also learned important social skills and respect for others, helping her flourish in the company of other children. This is a true testament to Loretta's dedication and effort in helping us raise Agnes.
We are immensely proud of our daughter and forever grateful to Loretta for her impact on our lives. It is clear that for Loretta, childcare is not just a job but a way of life, and each child she cares for becomes a part of that life. Loretta also kept us updated with photos of Agnes, which brought joy to our daily routine.
Loretta is also a valued member of the local community, well-known in her neighbourhood and actively engaged in the community. Her kindness and involvement make a real difference.
Words cannot fully express our gratitude towards Loretta. Thank you for all your support, for being part of our lives, and for everything you have done for our daughter.

wonderful childcare experience

Our grandson spends 3 days per week with Loretta and I feel so lucky that he is able to experience the care and love she gives him. I know from his comments that he loves being with Loretta and has such special times with her… on a train, ringing bells, playing in tents, relaxation and exercise… so many lovely activities that he enjoys. As a grandmother I feel very happy and reassured that my beautiful grandson is privileged to experience the care and love that Loretta provides… thank you Loretta 😊

Great childminder - children learn lots

Reuben had a lovely experience with Loretta. His speech and confidence came on so much in the time her was there. The children get to go out lots and experience different things. They do P.E on a Friday which is lovely. Reuben has come in so much. We were sad to leave but unfortunately Loretta is taking on fewer children over all. I would recommend her as Reuben has really developed hugely in confidence since being there.

Brilliant

My daughter was with Loretta for a year and she absolutely loved going there. The children are always out and about doing a wide variety of activities. Loretta is great with teaching the kids good manners and being kind to everyone, for example, giving the refuse collectors bottles of water. We were always informed of any issues with our daughter and her day was always documented with loads of photos. I would highly recommend Loretta.

Amazing

Loretta is the first childminder that I take my little girl to. After only 3 weeks since Agnes goes there she has learned so many things and she has so much fun. Everyday they do new activities. I highly recommend Loretta to all the parents that need childcare. For me as a new mum she has given great support. I truly believe that God sent her in our lives, that much gratitude we have towards her.

JUST AMAZING!!!

Loretta is a wonderful childminder who cares for my two year old daughter. Her week is filled with lots of variety of activities to develop her and she is having so much fun! In just a month, we have noticed her speech developing really well, she now has new friends she loves spending time with and she can’t stop talking to us about Loretta and the girls! My daughter loves animals and Loretta has some lovely pets that M looks forward to seeing. Loretta has taken her out on some amazing trips out and about and she is having the time of her life! Just look at all the pics Loretta uploads weekly, it’s amazing. We cannot thank Loretta enough for her care, kindness and all the things she does for our little one. We definitely recommend her to anyone, you would be lucky to have her as your child’s childminder!

Massive shout out to you Loretta for all the incredible work that you do. My daughter has been with Loretta for about 3 months now and made so much more progress than she ever did in 2 years at nursery. Being a pandemic baby she was scared of everything - animals, new people, new things etc but with all the adventures she gets up to with Loretta she is now so confident and brave. I am really enjoying the great working relationship we have built with Loretta as we work together in the best interest of my daughter. My favourite part of the day is seeing all the photos of everything they get up to during the day and seeing my daughter so happy but also seeing the great balance of play and education that they get up to. I would have no reservations recommending Loretta to any parent as it’s turned out to be the best decision i made for my child

Excellent childminder!

A bid "Thank you" to Loretta for helping me out and more importantly, helping my son. Loretta's details were passed on to me by someone... I called and she answered! My son and I were going through a very challenging time with school; I needed my son to be looked after, so she kindly invited over to see her home and environment. My son enjoyed being at her home - Loretta has a relaxed atmosphere, there were other children in her home and he seemed to "slot in". Every day they went out for an adventure, we would look at his pictures from the day and he would tell me about his adventures - what they did, where they went, who they saw, etc. It was lovely to hear him speak positively about his day and the pictures were great (I need to make an album!).

All in all, Loretta was great, and I highly recommend her... excellent childminder and excellent service.

Educational and fun

Our daughter has been going to Loretta’s since November, and has such fantastic (and educational!) experiences, and they are always doing something different.

As a little one that was only 4 months old when we went into lockdown 1, we were quite nervous about our first experience of childcare outside of family. We didn’t need to fear though, and our daughter has a fab time with Loretta and has made some lovely little friends. Whilst our daughter has suffered some separation anxiety, we have been able to work through this together with Loretta, as a key partner to the success of our family. With her empathy and support, we are out the other side (touch wood!), but if not, we trust that there is a huge knowledge base in Loretta to help us get our little girl back on track.

Our daughter’s language and counting has come on leaps and bounds, and her vocabulary, comprehension and conversation has expanded to include all the exciting things they do.

Would recommend for your littlies

My daughter has come on leaps and bounds with Loretta !! She loves Loretta like one of the family !!! Loretta is a great all rounder with years of experience, I felt at ease with leaving my daughter with her from day one , was the best choice i ever made , they do so many different activities daily and go on wonderful outings which I am so impressed with , If you are looking for a childminder do not hesitate and choose Loretta she’s the best .Loretta’s house is also like a show one spotless clean .

Great Childminder

Loretta is really nice; she keeps Lara very busy with multiple and variable indoor and outdoor activities that our daughter loves doing. Day by day she has managed to gain our daughter trust and love.
She also has helped a lot keeping us updated with all the required paperwork, etc.

Great child care service

Loretta is the best child care provider i have used since living in bedford. She helped my children behaviour making them more calmer and more respectful towards people and animals. She is great with children. She took my children to do activities after collecting my girls up from school. She has helped me personally by picking me up from work at times and drove me and my kids home , she a great listener and gives great advise and is very supportive . Literally no bad thing about her and what she does. Reasonable prices too. Highly recommend loretta child care services.

Also would like to say a huge thankyou to loretta for taking my kids on in a short notice and looking after my children. Its sad that we no longer need child care at this moment in time. If i did need childcare i would know where i would go to. Xx

Amazing I can't thank you enough !!!

Well what can I say apart from Loretta is absoustly amazing!! The best decision I made was to put my son into Loretta child minding services, she takes them all to many amazing, fun, and also learning activitys. my sons always been very happy to go to Lorettas.
Loretta engages with each child and understands all their individual needs.

Amazing childminder!

Loretta is a lovely childminder, our little boy started last year and was really shy and since then he has started to really come out of his shell. Every day they are out and about doing something new and different, even when it’s raining she always finds something fun for them to do!
Our little boy always comes home happy and chatting constantly about a lovely day he’s had with loretta and the other children.
I will definitely be keeping her number saved for our littlest one when he is 18 months old, and also to recommend her to everyone!

Helped my son live his best life!

Loretta was suggested to me by a family member; I was aware of how popular she is, so I was doubtful she would be available to help me. As it turned out, she was... and my son had "an adventure" every day with Loretta and the other children she looked after.

My son had been going through a very difficult time at school, so whilst waiting to start at another school, Loretta kindly met with us and agreed to look after my son for the temporary time. Loretta turned out to be what we both needed - for me, peace of mind, for my son, someone who took him to interesting places. It is no exaggeration that my son lived his best life during that time!

I can honestly say, I don't know how she does it - I have a hard time with my one child - nonetheless, definitely more than helped; Loretta helped bring my son's confidence back; she might argue he wasn't short of confidence, but I really saw the difference she made to him and us overall.

Genuinely, Loretta is down-to-earth and allows the children to be children; she also took great pics of their days out!

Great childminder

Loretta, is a lovely child-minder, she looked after our little girl two days a week when I returned to work. The level of communication we received made the whole process so much easier, every day we got a full diary of everything she had done that day. This included lots of photos of her and her friends happily playing which is lovely and reassuring to see when you are apart from your child, especially in the early days. They are always out and about, socialising with other children and days full of varied activities. I would highly recommend Loretta to anyone looking for child care.

Loving and caring childminder

My son went to Loretta for 3 days a week, and every day he was with her he came home a very happy little boy, and he couldn't wait to tell me what they done that day. Loretta has taken him out every day he was with her, from going to feed the ducks, to train spotting, he loved going to her. On the days he was not going to Loretta he would ask me in the morning when i get him dressed:"mommy am i going to Loretta today?", and i say no, he would cry and say, but i love Loretta.
Thank you Loretta for being so loving and caring person. This little monster is missing you every day.

Very good

My son is at Loretta for only one week and I can say that now I know how a Childminder should behave with little ones because I had a very bad experience before with another Childminder.
Loretta is lovely, the kids loves her, she’s tacking them each day to a different place, and they do lots of activities, go and feed the duck or go to soft play with no extra cost. I can tell that she is very passionate in what’s she’s doing, she’s not doing just for the money like others Childminder I had before.
Every day I received a picture or Christmas ornaments and lots of pictures and videos.
My little one was crying in the first days but she always was sending me photos reassuring me that after a few minutes he was fine, and it was really good for me, I could do my job that day without thinking if his still crying or not.

Very lovely lady with lots of experience

My year old daughter had an overnight stay with Loretta. She made me feel at ease by sending her qualifications, sending videos of where my daughter would be staying etc and kept me updated while she had my daughter. She was able to pick up and drop off (as I do not drive) and my daughter came back very smiley.
100% recommend!!

Also I try to help parents by offering transport if I can. Girly was so sweet, smiley and well behaved so please contact me again if the need arises.

Perfect after school care for our son

Our 5-year old son has been staying with Loretta for over a year now after school and during school holidays and absolutely loves it. Loretta always tries to find new activities (seasonal) to entertain the children and our son never gets bored. He has also met lots of new friends as Loretta cares for several other children and they all get on very well. I highly recommend Loretta's services if you are looking for a "feel at home" place for you child in the Kempston area.

Activity Guru!

Prior to meeting Loretta, my daughter was afraid of cats, but Loretta found a way to make her feel comfortable and reassure her - by the end of her first day she enjoyed being around her fluffy cats and looked forward to going back.

My daughter always talks about Loretta and the various activities she enjoys with her such as Lego Club and going to local parks. She also likes playing in her garden, playing with the other children that Loretta cares for and looking after the cats. Loretta is chatty and always thinking about activities to do with the children and always suggests activities that I can do with my daughter on the weekends.

Perfect fun chilminder

Our little one is with Loretta since mid April 5 days / week and loves it! She has so many activities for him and the rest of the children that he never wants to leave in the evening! There are activities in doors when it is raining but most of the time she is bringing him to groups, parks (water park in the summer) museums etc. My sister in law's childminder doesn't even do 1/3 of what Loretta proposes! A good mix of Nanny Mcphee and Mary Poppins! Very happy and very glad we found her!

Loretta is a wonderful childminder. Very passionate about her work, with years of experience and my daughter absolutely love her. She puts a lot of effort to entertain children and make them feel happy and safe. My daughter Laura was staying with Lorreta for the school holidays and she absolutely loved it. I am so pleased that this is not a stay at home childminder. They always do something and never get bored. She takes children to the park, playground or even to the Play House with no extra cost. She also have a big garden with swing and a slide and many toys to keep children entertain at all times. So far this is the best childminder that my daughter ever went to and for me this is very important as I want her to feel happy and I know she is in good hands. We definitely come back in October half term.

Thankyou so much for your kind words Kasia. I do try to give the children plenty of outdoors activities aswell as those at home. Today for example was home play, then the giant sand pit visit, Danish Camp bouncy castle and nature walk, feeding the ducks and fish at Wixams, the sand park, picnic in the garden, making play doh then a trip to the vets! I love being busy :-)

Laura is a lovely, sociable girl and she got on brilliantly with the other children. It would be a pleasure to welcome her back.

Loretta provides a wide, fun range of activities including plenty of outdoor exercise. I know my daughter has enjoyed sand, writing and drawing, as well as playing with her beautiful cats .

I have a complete picture of her whole day including what she has eaten, and all her activities. This helps me to feel involved with her care and that I can talk to her about her day.

I am thoroughly happy with the level of care my daughter receives and I’m certain that being in such a positive and happy environment is helping her develop into a confident and self assured little girl. Thanks so much Loretta.

Been with loretta for nearly 3 years now, brilliant childminder. Always out and about with the kids doing things. Always there to talk to, very flexible and accomodating. I will not be leaving untill i no longer need a childminder as i couldnt ask for better.

Loretta looked after my son from an early age, up until he was about three.
I never had any worries about leaving george as Loretta couldnt of done more for him.
Her skills and paitence were amazing, George really loved going to Loretta's and it was only a change in our circumstances which lead to him leaving.
I would fully reccomend Loretta to any parent who's looking for a reliable, honest and very caring childminder as she's about the best there is!
Loretta would always help us out at the last minute if my shift at work would change even on Christmas day as I am still very gratefull.
George blossomed under her guidance, she made a big impression upon my son

Loretta looked after all 3 of my children my youngest was about 6 months old when he started going, all 3 of them loved being there, the two older childern loved going out and about after school with Loretta & the other children.
Loretta was very accomidating to work around my shifts evan at short notice.
I would have no hesitation in sending my children back to Loretta as i know they would be very happy with her.

I am delighted to discover that Loretta is still childminding. She used to proved childcare for my brother and myself around 16/17 years ago and I have very fond memorys of my time there. Now i am looking for childcare for my own children, so I will be in touch :-D

Excellent

My child went to Loretta from a young age until she had to go to school.
I always found her to be professional, extremely reliable and always accommodated my change of shifts at last minute. I was never worried to leave my daughter there as I always felt she was being well cared for in every aspect of her needs and was made to feel like part of her family. Loretta would always keep me up dated in her progress and I felt when it came to potty training and all those first milestones we worked as part of a team at keeping the continuity for my daughter. My daughter would cry when she was having to come home which is a testament to Loretta
I would highly recommend her as a childminder and would not hesitate to use her services.

Memory

Loretta looked after my daughter about 2yrs ago and still she has not forgot about her time there and if she could , she would be back at Loretta's in a heart beat. Not only does Loretta do her job at an amazing standard but she makes you feel like apart of her extended family, which is a very wonderful thing. We are trusting her with someone special to care for and basically raise while we are at work.
I have nothing but praise for Loretta.
And when i can i will be sending my daughter back plus any other children i have in the future.

Numerous excellent parental references

My 8 yr son has been going to Loretta for 4months now and iv found her to be very welcoming and friendly .

My son takes a long time to settle with new people and Loretta has been great at helping him feel at home

my son goes 5 days a week and if needed Loretta offers over night care so i can get a night off now and then and i know that my son would be totally happy and safe 100per cent of the time .

Loretta has the experience of 19yrs of child minding which i was very impressed by and i would recommended her any one that needs childcare in the local area with out hesitation

i choose Loretta because numerous excellent parental references , too many certificates in childcare to list ,
and has brought up 3 well mannered happy children of her own .

Loretta has been my 13yr olds childminder since August 2010. She has been 100% reliable,very flexible with my unsociable shift patterns and my daughter has always enjoyed going there.

Excellent childcare services

Lorretta is an excellent childminder. As I worked different shifts when she looked after my children she was willing to be flexible to accomodate my childcare needs. She always engaged my children in different activites. The children were happy with her and in fact looked forward to going to see her. She is a very caring childminder and I would have no hesitation in recommending her.
