Childminder review

Mandy is fantastic and I couldn’t juggle life without her!!! My little boy(now 4 yrs) has attended Mandy’s childcare setting for the last year and a half. As soon as I met Mandy I knew it was the right fit for us. Mandy is so caring, kind and nurturing. My little boy loves her. In her care, I’ve seen him develop and grow into an amazing little person almost ready for starting school. Mandy plans and organises lots of fun activities, catering individually to his developmental needs always. She knows when he needs to be challenged and recognises when he just needs some ‘jack’ down time. Mandy is a great support, not only for Jack but for me too. Always there for advice or just a listening ear. Jack loves spending time with and forming friendships with the other little children in Mandy’s care during the day but also loves having the opportunity to mix with the big boys and girls who come before and after school too. I have another child(6 yrs) who also attends Mandy’s in the mornings before school drop off at St Wilfred’s. When he wakes daily one of the 1st things he asks me is ‘is it a Mandy day?’ He loves starting the day there which is a real testament in itself. As I drop the boys off at Mandy’s before heading to work, I’ve often found myself feeling a bit envious and wishing i was on a Mandy day too!!! I can’t recommend Mandy enough to anyone thinking about using a childminder.

Mandy is an outstanding childminder.

Mandy is an outstanding childminder. I was so nervous to be away from my son, but feel so incredibly fortunate that we have found Mandy. My little boy is so happy and comfortable in her care. It really is a home from home for him. Mandy's communication is brilliant, always giving detailed updates about my little boy's day; what activities he's been up to, how he has dealt with new situations and experiences and tips to support those new experiences at home. Mandy is a fountain of knowledge of child development and I value her advice greatly. Mandy's home is so welcoming and clean. The food she provides for my son is all home-cooked, and nutritious and she goes above and beyond in supporting my son's dietary requirements. Mandy has very quickly become an extension of our family and we are so happy to have her looking after our little boy. Thank you for all you do for our family Mandy!

The best of the best

Choosing Mandy as my children’s childminder is the best decision we have ever made. I contacted Mandy at a time when my daughter ( then nearly 2) wasn’t settling well at nursery, it was luck ( or fate!) that Mandy had a space and she literally scooped us both up and changed our lives for the better. My daughter ( now 6) still goes after school and I didn’t contemplate anywhere else to send my son ( 3) They are disappointed when we knock at the door to collect them and with the friends they make of all ages it really becomes a childminding family. Mandy provides a safe, secure and educational environment and most importantly treats all children as individuals and caters to their needs and personalities, The world needs more Mandy's and my family couldn’t recommend her enough!

Mandy is truly fantastic

Our son has been with Mandy since starting primary school and he absolutely adores her. As soon as we met Mandy we felt assured our son was in safe hands. She is caring and empathic with the children in her care and creates a family environment with all the children where they learn to build relationships with children of all ages and develop kindness. Mandy communicates if there are any potential problems and updates on all the fun activities my child is doing. Mandy is knowledgeable of children and the school settings which helps to ease the school experience for both parents/carers and children. Mandy also offers school holiday cover which is so useful in the holidays to know my child is having fun in a safe environment with the friends he has made at Mandy's setting. I would highly recommend Mandy for anyone looking for childcare in Grappenhall.

Childminder for my children (over 8 years of care)

Mandy offers an amazing home from home childminding service. My son was in her care from school age and then when his sister was born we were just so impressed with the care, understanding and how she caters for each individual child that our daughter accessed daytime care from 8 months old. Her subject knowledge and how she plans around the curriculum ensures that the children progress in such a caring environment. You know when you have chosen the right childcare when your children don’t want you to collect them early, as they don’t miss out on the experiences Mandy provides. I would highly recommend Mandy as the service is outstanding.
