Hurley Primary School

While this school offers a decent education and experience, overall, for children, there are some serious issues with the head teacher as well as the attitude of some of the staff, which would sometimes border on hostile.

Most of the teaching staff seemed alright, it was just some of the office staff and other non teaching staff who weren't entirely welcoming or parent friendly.

Didn't feel the head teacher was competent or fit to work with children, and felt he absolutely misused his authority and showed appallingly poor judgement on a deeply sensitive matter which I am not able to go into detail about here.

He had also come down very hard on me for not allowing my child to be on the schools' Facebook pages, as it had no restrictions on who could view it, and he had accused me of "robbing my child of memories" because of this refusal, when I had told this head that it was fine to take photos of my child and post them around the school, or in the newsletter, or even on their own school's little website, as long as it wasn't on Facebook. So what did the school do? They left my child out of nearly all photos even though most of those photos never went on Facebook.

Had a very high turnover of staff, which is never a good sign.

Car park is an absolute nightmare.
