Fantastic childminder

Our child attended Kiko's setting for 18 months before transitioning to pre school. He loved going every day and was always full of stories about the things he'd done! Kiko worked hard to support his development and interactions with other children. I especially liked the cultural aspects he was able to do with her, learning about Japanese culture in particular. My son particularly enjoyed making use of the garden and outdoor spaces in the setting, which allowed him to burn off steam!

Caring, gentle, thorough & very trustworthy

My daughter Élodie has been looked after by Makiko for over two years and we all absolutely love her to bits! She cares for the children as if they were her own and we love getting regular updates about Élodie's day (including photos and short video clips). We cannot be happier with how well Élodie has progressed in Makiko's care and the beautiful arts and craft work she brings home always put a smile on our faces.

Makiko is extremely professional and thorough, particularly when it comes to safeguarding. During the pandemic, she has taken every precaution to ensure that the children's safety is paramount, by closely following the Public Health's advice. She has even created a new safe space for the children to learn and play in, as well as an outdoor hand washing station which is a great idea!

We cannot recommend Makiko highly enough and we thank our lucky stars that we found such a wonderful setting for our daughter.

Kiko is a wonderful childminder

We are so thrilled that we chose Kiko as our childminder for our son. We had chosen to send him to a childminder over nursery as we felt that he would benefit from having a more personal relationship with his carer.

Having sent him to nursery before he was always very apprehensive about going in and despite feeling like this at the beginning he now happily goes into Kiko's house as if it's his favourite place in the world. He has only been going for around a month, so we are very happy with how well he has settled in.

It's really lovely getting updates throughout the day on what he has been up to, and we've found his speech has really developed in the last few weeks being around the children.

I can't recommend Kiko enough. If you get the chance to send your little ones to her setting then you definitely should.

Warm, loving and full of smiles

Makiko has been looking after our 2 year old son. Firstly, her childcare set up has been upgraded to a beautiful facility just for the children and not with the main home. The set up is full of interactive toys and mats that kept our little one entertained. She has an amazing huge garden for lots of fun time play and fresh air for the children.

Makiko is a wonderful, experienced and professional childminder. She takes the care and development of the children very seriously. Our little boy settled in really well with her, even after an initial struggle. She figured out very quickly what he liked and made everything available for him to learn and develop! He comes home singing the ‘hello song’ that she does with the children every morning.

Sami’s days are filled with indoor and outdoor activities tailored by Makiko’s qualifications in psychological and cognitive development! He regularly comes home with drawings or something he’s made!

We are regularly updated with pictures of him enjoying the nature walks in the garden, jumping around chasing bubbles or when he’s inside playing or reading books.

We can’t recommend this lady enough. She is an absolute gem, is full of smiles and love for the children she looks after!

Amazing!

My daughter is currently looked after by Makiko and she is fab! Always sends photos and updates, has nature walks and outdoor play, creative play as well. My daughter absolutely loves her and settled perfectly with her. She is 18 months old and can sing twinkle twinkle little star in Japanese!

Wonderful childminder

Makiko is Joshua's first childminder. She is calm, patient and really loving. She is wonderful and helpful. Joshua settled very well and always sing a song 'hello Malkiko' in home. He definitely likes Makiko!

Makiko worked very well with me, always communicating and accommodating. She would let me know of any concerns she had about Joshua and would give me recommendations. Even we changed Joshua's childcare time in several times since our need changed, Maikiko did her best to fit our needs.

My husband and I are both extremely happy with the care Makiko has provided and cannot recommend Makiko enough.

The best!

My 9 years old Natalia was with Makiko every day after school. She was always soo happy there, she loves her food(she isnt so easy with eating...) and as she said, it was a great time with her:) they did some craft together, origami and even Japanese writing, every day something diffrence. Natalia miss her allready, and i think this is the best recomendation for Makiko. Im really happy that we had Makiko as our childminder, and i will highly recomended her to anyone. She was always on time to pick her up from school, and i was sure that my daughter is in a good hand.Im changing now my working hours,and this is reason why im not sending Natalia to her anymore.Makiko, we miss you very much and we wish you all the best in your work with children:):)Ewa and Nati
