About Me
My name is Marcia i have three children two boys 27 & 22 and a girl 29, and 6 Grandchildren that love to visit from time to time.
I have 3 assistant that have level 2 & 3 childcare qualifications working along side me,
they are all first aid trained along with a child protection, safeguarding, prevent duty, food hygiene and many more Qualifications.
I am Ofsted Registered Childminder living in Exmouth Devon..
I am able to offer parents with children aged 0 to 12 yrs childcare in a home based setting with a purpose built log cabin.
I am located in a Semi-detached house with private parking, I have a large, safe enclosed garden.
I have a large and varied amount of toys, recourses and equipment and plan daily activities and outings.
I am also working with the Early years Foundation Stage guidance. My recent Ofsted report graded me "outstanding" in all elements.
We can also offer government funding, for all children within the age brackets of entitlement.
My Experience
I have been working with young children for a number of years having started when my own children were small.
I have worked in playgroups and i have gained a good amount of knowledge from this working with children from 0 to 12 yrs. I am committed to providing high quality childcare for all parents and children.
I'm also an Adult youth worker, working with Children / young Adults from 12yrs to 18yrs with ACF Army Cadet force.
My Qualifications
Cache level 1 in Home Based Childcare
Paediatric first Aid
Food Safety level 2
Early Years EYFS into Practice
Safeguarding level 3
childminder workshops (EYFS)
Deploma in childcare level 3
SEND level 2
My Availability
I can offer childcare 5 days a week
Monday - Thursday 0730am - 1730pm.
Fridays 0730am - 1700pm.
For children aged 0 - 14 yrs
I am also happy to do local school run's drop off's and pick up's.
I am Currently offering before and after school drop-off and collection from Withycombe primary School based in Exmouth Devon.

Free snacks and drinks are provided.
Cooked meals can be provided if required at the cost of £3.00 per day.

My daughter has been attending Marcia's setting since she was tiny, and absolutely adores Marcia and going there, Marcia has always been flexible with my childcare needs. My daughter always comes home excited and desperate to tell me what fun things she has been up to during the day. They go out often which I love hearing about, my daughter especially loves going world of country life. Since my daughter has been going to Marcia's she has come on in leaps and bounds and is able to independantly do many things. Marcia has a written record of what my daughter has been doing whilst in her care, this includes pictures she has drawn etc and I have enjoyed looking through this each time I have asked to see it. It is really important to me that my child has a healthy meal at lunch time and Marcia has always made sure that the food she offers the children is full of fruit and veg. Recently Marcia has added a cabin for the children to use as a playroom, and this is full of fun toys and activities for the children to do, my older children previously went to another childminder in my home town and I felt that they although their needs were met, they were there to secure an income more than anything, however with Marcia it is so clear that she loves having the children in her care, when she tells me what my daughter has acheived in the day she looks genuinely proud of her as well as I am. I would recommend Marcia's setting to anyone looking for a lovely caring childminder for their children.
