About Me
My name is Yvonne Jones and i have been married to my husband Spencer for 11 years. We have 4 beautiful children between us aged 24, 19 , 13 and 11 yrs. My husband is an AA patrol operative. I have child-minded now for 9 years and i am very passionate about my job. I was rated good on my last inspection under the new EYFS. We have lived in our home for 14 years now and we have a family dog named Daisy. She is a cockapoo and has a beautiful nature. We have a very large garden which is full of children's climbing frames, slides, swings and the list goes on. I aim to offer every child a warm, welcoming, home environment where they can learn through fun and play.
My Experience
I have looked after babies to high school age children for 9 years. I come from a large family and have had lots of experience especially with my own children. I attend training regularly both online and courses. I recently did my first transition document to primary school for a child i looked after and was very pleased with a hand delivered letter saying its one of the best learning journeys of a child they had seen in all the years of receiving these transitions ;).

My Fees
- Childminding from £4.00 per hour
I charge £4 per hour, this includes meals and snacks and
outings which i attend regularly.
We are members at the zoo, we attend childrens centres for activities, we attend playgroups and messy play, we also visit the beach, parks and library.
Pick up and drop offs are available on request

Our son has been with Yvonne since he was 4 months old he started just before Covid hit and we all went into lock down, which was a strange time for us all. During lock down Yvonne would keep in touch and send videos of her reading to the children so that she was still present in their lives. Returning to normality was a smooth transition as Yvonne is so warm and nurturing with the children, it was a home away from home.
Our son thrived as the stimulation Yvonne provides in her setting is by far the best I’ve seen. We had some concerns over his speech development however, Yvonne had referred him early so that if it continued he would already be under the professionals when he needed it the most. Luckily he was discharged within the 1st session and I believe this is down to the time and commitment Yvonne gave to him, to ensure he was meeting his milestones.
Since then he has made leaps and bounds with his reading, writing, counting and social skills. Yvonne never stops, if she hasn’t got a million things set up at home or in the garden for them to enjoy she is out at groups, organised activities or day trips to the zoo, soft play etc.
Our son is at his last day today with Yvonne as he starts school next week and, although this is a sad time as we will all miss her very much, we are so very grateful for her having been in our lives. Our son is very much ready for School thanks to Yvonne!
Yvonne is kind, caring, nurturing, supportive, fun, attentive, patient, encouraging, calm, knowledgable, firm, understanding… the list is endless.
The setting is clean, tidy, welcoming and her family are a credit to her. I would not hesitate to recommend Yvonne to anyone i speak to, she is truly outstanding at her job.
We will miss you Yvonne, if we ever have another they will be signed up before they are born!

I've loved every minute of the past 4 years having your very energetic boy 🤣 although he's given me quite a few new grey hairs haha. I'm going to miss him and his little friends are going to miss him very much too.

I actually met Yvonne on a local park a few years before Emily actually started going to her. She was on the park with 4 other children and I thought they were all hers the way she was with them.
We got chatting as I asked how she does it with 4 children and that’s when I discovered she was a childminder.
She also had a lovely calm and chilled way about her which I loved.
I asked her to put me on her waitlist and waited quite some time before Emily started her care with Yvonne.
Emily has thrived with Yvonne and is SO happy there.
She’s regularly tells Yvonne she loves her Haha so she must be very happy.
Yvonne sends us photos daily to show us what Emily is up to.
I couldn’t ask for a better childcare provider and I am hoping to get a space for Emily’s brother in the next few years as I could never imagine him going anywhere else!
So happy to have found Yvonne. She is the BEST!

Yvonne has looked after our little girl since October 2019, from the age of 10 months old.
Looking for a childcare provider has to be one of the most daunting and emotional experiences you can go through as a parent and after visiting several nurseries and childminders I can say without hesitation that Yvonne is very special.
From the second we arrived to meet Yvonne and see the set up she has for the children, we instantly felt reassured and we knew she was the one. The environment is homely, clean, safe and most importantly - fun!
Yvonne herself is kind, thoughtful, patient, creative and very nurturing. Our daughter never looks back when she is dropped off in the morning and is always in a great mood when we pick her up.
She is exposed to so much adventure through both imaginative play at home and trips to the park and zoo, but also all from the different social play groups they attend such as Bilingualsing, Boogie Beats and Forest School.
Yvonne updates us regularly with pictures throughout the day via a private Facebook group and keeps a diary of her daily (home cooked) food, naps and nappies - all of which is greatly appreciated.
Parents also receive home learning packs which allow us to continue our little one's learning at home which is just fantastic.
Overall, we couldn't be happier and we are so grateful for everything Yvonne does for our little girl. Thank you!

Yvonne has looked after Joseph from 14 months old. From the first time I met Yvonne I knew from stepping into her front room that this was the perfect childminder for us. Joseph is quite a clingy mummies boy but after only a few sessions Joseph was so occupied and settled that he no longer cried when I left. It truly is a home from home setting, Yvonne has so many wonderful and amazing resources for the children and her garden is huge!! Yvonne assess a range of baby and toddler groups, goes out in the community, zoo trips the list is endless the children are always fully stimulated. One of my favourite aspects of this childcare provision is how personal it feels, Joseph's develops so well and I am constantly updated throughout the day of what they get up to. The private Facebook groups allows parents to view photos and videos of what there children are doing which is so reassuring to see your little ones happy and having fun. Yvonne cooks a variety of home cooked meals it always smells yummy. I honestly couldn't imagine Joseph with anyone else, I highly recommend Yvonne, we love her!

After having my first baby girl it was daunting for me to return back to work not knowing who was going to look after my baby after searching and meeting quite a few childminders I genuinely didn’t think I was ever going to find anyone suitable and thought I was being really picky at certain things but at the end of the day this person was going to be looking after my baby girl so I had to be picky. After seeing and talking to a lot of childminders I messaged Yvonne and agreed to go to her house whilst she was working so I can meet her and her husband Spencer and get a glimpse of how her day to day would run. As soon as me and my partner arrived I had a great feeling straight away and I knew Yvonne was the one.
It was a sunny day and the kids were all playing out in the garden which is secured not overlooked and is well kitted out for the kiddies it was great and the most playful doggy you have ever met Daisy running around minding her own business. ( cuteness overload 🥰 )
Yvonne and Spencer were so friendly and made me and my partner feel comfortable and straight away I felt at ease.... the biggest thing for me was I wanted someone who went to play groups and socialised outside the house some days and that’s exactly what Yvonne does.
I thought them first few days would of been so hard for me and my little girl but I think it’s safe to say Poppy loved it from the her settling in sessions we had no trouble at all, it was harder for me than it was for Poppy. Poppy would and still happily waves me off to work as she knows staying at yvonne’s is a lot of fun.
Poppy has been there for 7 months now and everyday progresses more and more and has made quite a few friends along the way.
Yvonne is very good at communicating and updates you everyday.
I honestly couldn’t recommend Yvonne anymore and I hope to use her again in the near future 😜 not only is she great with the kids but I would class her as my Friend we have so much in common it’s scary.
