My Summary
Looking For Full-Time Positions From November 2024
About Me
Thank you everyone for your interest. I am looking for a full time live-out long term position from November 2024.
I'm a 36 year old qualified primary school teacher.
I am very active and have many hobbies such as: playing sports (American football, basketball, kickboxing, volleyball, football, badminton, table tennis), baking, gardening, reading, listening to and playing music, DIY, photography, painting and drawing, keen LEGO builder and many other activities.
I am a cheerful, friendly, reliable, well-organized person, genuinely interested in helping children develop to their full potential.
My Experience
I have worked as a live-in au pair for more than 2.5 years and as a live-out after-school nanny for 8 years. I did occasional babysitting as well. During that time I looked after children from 2 months to 16-year-olds and worked for more than 15 families.
I have worked as an assistant instructor teaching children kickboxing for a year.
I also have volunteered to help out in 2 primary schools for a month. During my placements at university, I worked as a trainee teacher at local primary schools. After graduation I worked as a class teacher for 6 months and as a supply teacher for 1.5 years.
July 2020 - October 2020 I worked as a full-time nanny, tutoring a 19 months old toddler. Unfortunately, the family relocated to a different country, which is why I had to look for a new position.
In the last 2.5 years I have been working as a full-time nanny in a permanent position near Earl's Court. I managed home schooling for two children ( now 4 and 6) during the Covid restrictions and carried on providing additional tutoring since the children were back to school.

Dory came into our lives in July 2017 . We urgently needed additional support and we knew very quickly that Dory was what we very much needed to help us. She was sunshine for our family. Even though Dory is no longer officially employed with us, she remains very much a part of our family and is in regular contact.
Dory’s strengths - and there are many - her greatest is her devotion, kind generous nature and communication with little ones. Just as important is her communication with parents which we could not fault.
Dory is professional and she devoted her full attention to our Son (6) and Daughter Zoe (4) at the time and gives each what they individually needed. I have never had to provide Dora a detailed schedule, she naturally implements a positive routine based on her experience filled with fun and adventure. Dora creates a balanced environment.
While I could speak volumes about Dora from both a personal and professional level, I’ll let my children do the talking instead. At their request, she has been invited to their birthday parties annually and specifically request to see her regularly. Our children talk about her as they would a treasured family member and that’s precisely what she is.
Dory conducts herself professionally, respects confidentiality and is able to connect with children of all ages. She is very reliable, trustworthy, motivated and able to tune in with the requirements of family and children. Dory possesses all the qualities the make her a successful nanny. We highly recommend Dory and we sincerely hope that you are quick to give her a position as her warmth, attentive care and inviting personality will be sure to endear her to you and your little ones.
Dory was our Au Pair for a year. I cannot underestimate the extent of positive impact she made on my children’s development. Not only she was an extremely caring and loving nanny/Au Pair who always went far beyond the call of duty, but she also applied her natural teaching abilities to such an extent that my daughter was reading and putting together 100 piece puzzles by the age of 2. Dory would be an invaluable asset to any family with young children. She is a natural born educator and carer, and is truly amazing in every way. To this day, and my children are now 24, 22 and 16, we maintain contact with Dory and remain grateful and extremely fond of her. Gem of a nanny!!
Dory looked after my two children after school for years, and they loved her! She was so creative, imaginative and sensitive to their needs, always thinking of new things to do and places to go, but also understanding when they just needed some quiet time at home. The Halloween costumes she made, and her fantastic baking, are still family legends in our house. She ended up looking after some of their friends too, as she was so popular in the neighborhood, and everyone knew they could trust her totally to do the right thing in any situation. It's a lucky family that has Dory looking after their children.
Dora (Dory) has been a nanny to our toddler. I cannot recommend her highly enough.
Dory is enthusiastic, kind, patient and empathetic. It’s amazing how quickly she connected with our daughter – and how she encouraged her play and autonomy. From before Dory’s first day with us, we saw how she really devotes herself to her job, looking up lots of ideas for activities appropriate to the child’s age and interests. Dory is very creative – and despite the challenges of the coronavirus situation, she found fun things to do for our active toddler every day. Even nap time, sometimes a bit of a challenge before, seemed to go really well in Dory’s hands.
For us as parents, Dory is easy going and a breeze to interact with.
I am confident her new family will cherish her wonderful touch with children and her bubbly, caring and kind personality, too.
Dora (although goes by Dory, like the fish) is gentle and great with kids, and recall lots of fun times with various games activities, with a particular interest in Lego. Thanks for all your help!
