About Me – Emete (Emss)

My name is Emete, known as Emss, and I am a mum of three. I have more than seven years’ experience working in Mental Health and Autism support with adults, and a passion for teaching that grew during the first lockdown when I began homeschooling my eldest.

Starting Emss Home Nursery has allowed me to create a safe, loving, and nurturing environment where children feel at home while learning and achieving new milestones. I believe strongly in learning through play, building confidence, and celebrating every achievement.

I hold a Level 3 Extended Diploma in Health and Social Care and continue to study and train regularly to stay up-to-date with changes in the EYFS.

I also work alongside an Ofsted-registered agency, supporting new educators across the country in opening their own home nurseries. The agency also supports parents with funding guidance and manages invoices through the parent app.

My mission is simple:

To unlock the potential in every child.

Testimonials

‘ I am so glad I found Emss Home Nursery, communication has been perfect from the very first time I made contact. Welcoming, friendly and very caring. My son settled in really well, he feels at home and comfortable. He has made great friends and always speaks about his day happily. I would recommend this nursery highly, you can rest assured knowing your little one are in a caring, loving and safe environment’

“Finding someone to look after your children can be the toughest decision if you're a parent like me who finds it so hard to trust. Emss cared for my children aged 9 and 7. Having a son who has autism was a major concern for me. Emss made my son feel like he was home away from home. He didn't want to come home, which was the sign I needed for him. She is gentle, caring, and most of all professional in what she does. As the parent, I kept contacting her to know all was well, and her reassurance gave me peace and trust. At the end of the day, she puts pictures and detailed information on the childrens profile so i can see what they've been up to. She knows her stuff, and I'd highly recommend using her services without worry. Your child/children will be absolutely safe and happy. Thank you Emss”

I first brought my daughter to Emete in September I was so worried about how my daughter would be settling in as she has never really been left with others. I dropped her off and within 5 minute I revived a picture of my daughter and her reassuring me how much fun she was having. The communication is outstanding and she really does treat your children like her own. Everyday my daughter comes back so happy with a smile on her face. Everything she does I see through the app even nappy changes get recorded and nap times. She takes them often to the park when the weathers warmer and also to stay and plays which is amazing as you don't get that at a regular nursery. The meals she cooks are incredible proper homecooked meals and they must be yummy as my daughter tells me there so yummy and that her favourite part of the day is mealtime. She also has a garden which the children play in which not all settings would have. Another thing I love is how immaculate my child comes home. She makes more mess on her clothes at home then at nursery so Emms takes extra care on keeping the children clean. My daughter don't stop talking about emms and how much fun she has with her. When I tell her we're going nursery she gets so excited and jumps up and down saying her name. She's flexible with hours and if you need extra time for a certain day she can provide that. Overall I'm extremely happy with my daughters care and from day 1 I knew I made the right choice. Would recommend emstinyhomenursery to anyone with young children I honestly think she's the best in the business

I was really concerned about my son starting nursery as I have never left him with anyone and my son was non verbal,Emms re assured me and everyway 🙏 we started settling sessions, when I left my son she kept me updated with everything he was doing, videos, photos and texts etc..
Now few month on my son loves emms..
He goes in to her house and he closes the door to my face, I think that says it all xxx
