About Me
I am honest & reliable person. I aim to provide affordable, fun, stimulating, safe with a home from home environment, where children can feel happy & confident to grow & learn in my care.
I often take the children in my care to the park & many other places like the local library, play areas, play groups and other suitable enviroments.
I have been Ofsted registered since March 2018, & hold a current DBS.
I follow EYFS for children aged Birth - Five years & registered to except, 3 & 4 year old funding.
In July 2021, I received my first Ofsted routine Inspection, which I was awarded:- Good
I live with my Husband & three Children, in the St Marks area near Boyne Grove Park. (Both my husband & eldest son hold an up to date DBS)
Our family also consists of a Beagle dog, who is very friendly & loves children.
Our house is a non-smokers home.
My Experience
I have gained great experience & knowledge over the last 20+ years working & caring for children as a childcare practitioner. During this time I have worked in day settings as a Nursery Nurse, Team Leader, Management & now as a Childminder.
I keep my professional develpment skills & knowledge up to date by attending childcare webinar's & childcare Local authority training.

I do not offer any Wraparound childcare. (Before or after school/nursery) or Ad-hoc childcare.

Emma looked after my daughter from 10 months old to 3 years. Emma has a wonderful calm presence, nothing phases her - even a disorganised parent! She mixed lots of time out and about at groups with a caring environment at her home and my little girl blossomed in confidence with her. Nothing was ever too much trouble and my child absolutely adores her and her family.

Emma looked after our daughter for just over a year, and we could not be more grateful for her. Emma is a wonderfully caring and nurturing person, providing a safe and homely environment in which our daughter absolutely flourished and loved from the start.
We had a rocky start to childcare with our initial nursery choice, where dropping off could be quite emotional at times. From the start with Emma, there was not a single day our daughter didn't happily run into her house, which made everything so much more comfortable not only for her, but also for us as parents!
Emma takes the kids to lots of activities and social events, which our daughter would always come home chatting about. Somehow she also managed to get her to eat vegetables every day which was no mean feat ;-)
We will forever be grateful to Emma and her family for being so welcoming with our daughter - and really do highly recommend Emma's care if you're considering a childminder route.

Emma has provided care for our son Xander since he was 10 months old and was pivotal in helping to make my transition back to work seamless – I don’t know how we would have managed without her!
Emma’s knowledge and experience is really reassuring and her calming nature is so pleasant.
As first-time parents, childcare was new to us and naturally we were sceptical, but Emma has been reliable, great with communication and has built an amazing bond with Xander providing a home away from home for him. During the early days, Emma would share extra pictures of what Xander was up to and send me impromptu updates without me asking, to help to ease my mind, and it’s those little things that made all the difference!
Our little boy walks up to Emma’s door in the morning excited to see her but also leaves to come home just as happy and content, and we couldn’t ask for more than that! We can't thank you enough :)

Emma provides a safe, warm and nurturing setting, our son was born during COVID 19 and wasn’t used to people other than those in our household. Emma was really compassionate and patient with him during the settling in process and worked with us all to ensure it was as stress free as possible. Emma put our minds at ease by keeping us informed of how our son was doing and the progress that he was making.
Emma works with the children to provide a developmental setting and our son regularly comes home and tells us what he has learnt. Furthermore, Emma takes the children to a variety of different activities during the day where our son takes part in walks, trips to the park, playgroups, arts and crafts, singing, dancing and playing with other children - there is never a quiet day!
Emma is happy to work with us and help to implement new routines such as toilet training etc. Our son is a funny eater and Emma worked with our son to ensure he ate at mealtimes and suggested techniques that we could use at home for consistency.
Emma is vigilant in her communication to us as parents and regularly provides photos and updates of our sons progress and what he has been up via the app.
Emma, her family and Jessie the dog provide a safe, clean, warm and friendly setting that feels like a second home to our son. We completely trust Emma and know that she cares for our son like one of her own children and couldn’t want anymore from her - she is amazing and our we are so lucky to have her as our childminder!

My child has been with Emma since April last year. She made both myself and my child feel very comfortable when 1st entering her home/setting. He has been so settled and happy it has been lovely to know he's happy when I drop him off. He has developed so much since he started. Emma is such a caring person and her family make us feel like one of their own.
The app used by Emma is great and easy to see what my son has eaten and has slept through the day. I couldn't recommend Emma enough. 10/10.
