My Summary
About Me
My name is Kia, I am 23 years old. I am fun, bubbly, caring, hard working and I have a passion for working with children. I am very easy going and I love watching children grow and learn new things. I am a mum to my little boy Rory who was born in September 2023.
I love being a mum it’s the best feeling in the world! I’ve always been an upbeat bubbly person but since having Rory I wake up so excited for everyday we are always doing something fun and exciting. He has experienced so many amazing fun things in the 1st year of his life! Holidays abroad and in the uk, 10000 trips to many different soft plays from the age of 2 weeks old! Baby massage class, curious crawlers classes, library trips, zoos, baking, messy play, swimming, lots of outdoor time- splashing in muddy puddles. We go all out on every season event Easter, Christmas, Halloween, fireworks ect lots of activities and crafts. We are always having so much fun.
My Experience
I have worked in childcare for 7 years in a nursery setting from ages 6 weeks -5 years and I have been nannying since January 2023. I am also a mum to my 15 month old.
I worked at Sandfield day nursery in headington for 5 years.
I had a full time nannying position from January 2023 until August 2023 looking after 1 baby girl from aged 9 months until she was 16 months and doing the nursery drop offs and pick ups for her older sister age 3. I would start at 7am get both girls ready for the day take the eldest to nursery and then spend the day with the youngest taking her to the local library, parks, baby classes, soft play ect. Prepping and making her lunches/dinners whilst she naps and doing some Laundry & house work. I would then pick the eldest up from nursery at 5pm walk her home and give her a snack then finish at 5:30, some days I would work later until 6 or 8 where I would then help with bath time and bedtime.
From January 2024 until September 2024 I was Nannying a little boy 2 weeks younger then my son I would have them both at the same time and sometimes his older sister too. He has now started nursery so I only do 2 evenings a week for them now.
I have a lot of experience looking after children from all different ages from their home during day times and night times. I have experience in helping to sleep train children and potty train.
I have a double buggy that i use for work and also a buggy board for If I’m bringing my little one with me.
I am currently working 2 evenings a week (Monday & Tuesday) & 1 days a week-Thursday.
As of February I will be working full time.
I am looking for some extra work mainly during January. I am always happy to take on occasional extra work if I’m available. I always try my best to be as flexible as I can and meet the parents needs.

Kia not only helped my family by providing sensitive and informed care for our 7 month old, but she was also helpful to the whole family because she understood mine and my husbands work-life-balance needs in terms of scheduling and communicating about our childcare. We have used her a number of times and she is always quick to respond, clear, and reliable. This is reassuring and gives us peace of mind! On top of that she is great with our baby, really knows what he needs developmentally and keeps us up to date on how his day was. Its truly wonderful to be able to work with her and I cannot recommend her more highly.

Aw thank you, it’s been so lovely looking after your smiley baby boy!
We have 3.5 year old Emilia & 10 month old Theo.
Kia has been babysitting our eldest since Nov 2022. And nannying our youngest since Jan 2023.
Honestly, she’s great!
She’s got lots of experience working in nurseries & it shows. She’s great with kids of different ages. And she’s given us great advice, like when we were absolutely clueless trying to potty train our eldest. There’s been times when I couldn’t handle looking after both of my own kids at the same time, but she could aha.
She’s also very respectful of our parenting choices (gentle parenting, BLW, cloth nappies, breastfeeding etc.) & happily follows whatever systems/ rules we have.
I remember when Theo was small she took him to the playground, but checked first to see if he’d been on a swing before. If he hadn’t then she’d save that first for us. Just little things like that I find so respectful & kind.
Theo’s got severe eczema & gets contact rashes from food. It’s a lot of extra hard work. Constantly applying creams, long list of foods he can’t eat & things that can’t go on his skin. But Kia is amazing with it. I know he’s in safe hands & I don’t worry about him when he’s with her. (Which is saying a lot! I won’t let anyone in our family have him unsupervised yet. I don’t trust them not to set off his skin).
She’s very hardworking & reliable. I actually can’t think of a time that she’s let us down. If something does come up she’s flexible & gives lots of notice.
She’s done some really lovely activities with the kids (painting, water play, sensory bins etc.) And sent some absolutely gorgeous photos showing what Theo’s been up to.
I’m actually a bit sad that Theo’s starting nursery & she’s dropping back down to just evening babysitting. It’s the end of an era!
She’s a really lovely person & I’d recommend her to anyone.

Thank you so much, really appreciate it! :)
We were in a bind looking for temporary cover after our nanny had to leave a couple of weeks earlier, and by some miracle Kia was free to take care of our 22mo daughter. I know wish I’d found her earlier and offered her a full time role! She is caring, patient, kind and communicative , sending updates throughout the day and photos, as well as a detailed round up of the day’s food, nappies and activities. Our daughter is a tricky napper but Kia has persevered and managed to make her sleep, and we have seen an improvement in her night sleeping too. Our daughter comes home with drawings and new words, and in a period of change and upheaval we couldn’t have found her better care than with Kia. She occasionally has her lovely son Rory with her, which is so good for our daughter’s development and she loves him. I could not recommend Kia highly enough and would certainly think of her first for any future opportunities.

Aww this is so lovely! Thank you so much❤️
We were last minute. We had two kids (cousins) under 2.5 years. We weren't Oxford locals. We were in an Airbnb.
All things which would = stress.
Enter Kia…
She was punctual and professional and had two kids following her every move within seconds of walking in. + She managed to put both to bed earlier than they would normally.
Kia smashed it — I can't recommend her highly enough.

Thank you!😊
Kia came and looked after my 5 month old for two days. She was so calm, easygoing and lovely. He was being a bit fussy with his bottles, and Kia was really up for trying whatever we came up with to get him more comfortable. Highly recommend Kia! It always felt like she genuinely cared for him and would do whatever was best for him, which is just what you want to feel when someone is looking after your baby.
