I am a mum to an amazing son at university, as well as two adorable little dogs.
I have always been very maternal and I love working with children. I hope that my excellent references provide an assurance that I am trustworthy, reliable, responsible and very well organised.
My Experience
Over the past 25+ years I have worked with children in a voluntary capacity through various children's activities and have Access NI Disclosure certificates (criminal record clearance) dated up to November 2023.
The most valuable experience I have is being a mum and auntie, but before having my son I babysat regularly for local families for many years.
I have cared for children from newborn to teenagers, including baby twins and children with additional needs. I have provided childcare at weddings, and as a hotel babysitter.
I have a full, clean driving licence and have recently purchased brand new car seats to use with the children in my care.
My Qualifications
I am trained in child protection, basic first aid including use of a defibrillator, and Baby & Child First Aid.
My Availability
I work in my 'day job' Monday to Friday and offer babysitting on evenings and weekends, on an ad-hoc basis.

Jennie is such a wonderful babysitter! She was great to communicate with, arrived on time, and was wonderful with the kids. She updated us throughout the evening and put us all at ease that our kids were in great hands! We would absolutely use Jennie again in the future and highly recommend her!

We came to Belfast for one night for my birthday and got a babysitter so we could go out for dinner. Jennie went out of her way to make sure our son was comfortable with her, she had a great way with him. I knew very quickly after she had arrived we had nothing to worry about and we went out for dinner knowing our son was in very capable, experienced hands. Thanks Jennie! Next time we’re in Belfast, we will be in touch!

Right from the moment we met Jennie we knew she was the right person. She is so warm and genuine and my 2 girls took to her straight away. They get so excited when they know Jennie is coming to look after them. She's been looking after them for four months now, the baby was 10 months old and my older one was just over 3 when she started looking after them and they both settled really well in her company. Nothing phases Jennie as she has so much experience and she is very understanding when days or times change due to our work shift changes. Honestly don't know what we would do without her!

Jennie is reliable, friendly, experienced and knowledgeable. I would recommend her to anyone. She sends me regular updates on my daughter when she is babysitting for me and she interacts with her so well. She is a lovely person- don’t hesitate to book her!
