Hi, my name is Maddie Gillis, I am a 20 year old girl from Stafford. I have studied childcare since GCSEs at high school. I currently hold a level 2 certification in Child Development and I am currently studying for my level 6 (degree level). I am on the DBS update service, meaning you can require a DBS check for me whenever you feel necessary. I have a full, clean driving licence and own my own car. I enjoy looking after children and am planning a family of my own one day! I enjoy walking, baking, ice skating and board games! I now hold a paediatric first aid certification. I love dogs, cats and all in between (except spiders ?). I have previously worked in nursery’s and primary schools. Overall I am a fun, bubbly girl.

My Experience
I have previously worked in a nursery with children aged 5 months- 5yrs. During this time I was Room Leader whilst in the toddler room (mainly 18mnth-2yrs) I also worked with younger and older children. Whist studying at Stafford College, I was on placement at Berkswich Primary School. During my placement I was fortunate enough to work with every age group. On top of my professional experience I have gained a lot of experience with my family and friends, caring for children from newborn to teens.
My Qualifications
I have a level 2 qualification in early year’s development which I gained in high school. I am also studying for my degree in teaching early years at the moment.

My fees will be set at £12phr from 08:00am - 23:00pm
For overnight stays I will charge £10phr from 23:00pm - 08:00am

Arranged to meet for an interview in July 2023 - No show and no explanation as to why
Overall
I had a meeting booked in for weekend babysitting work. Unfortunately, the night prior to the meeting (midnight) I received a message informing me she was no longer available. I would have appreciated more notice than this. I cannot comment on her actual ability to look after children but as far as reliability and communication; there is scope for improvement.
