About Me
My name is Tamaris, I work with my husband and we offer a professional childminding service. I am Ofsted registered.
We have 3 children of our own aged 7, 9 and 20.
I can offer a safe environment with a secure fenced garden and activities with plenty of things for the children to do!
I understand that some parents would prefer to have their young children cared for in more of a home setting than a nursery, this means that we can dedicate more one to one time with your child. We will be following the EYFS (early years foundation stage) in all seven areas of learning.
I have lots of toys and books, and there are plenty of activities that your child can do such as going on walks to the local park, the library, painting, art, baking, nature trails, messy play, singing, dancing, visits to our local farm and lots more!
Prior to minding I was a retail manager for 15 years. Before that I worked in New York with Camp America teaching tennis to young children and also schools in the uk as a class assistant.

We have looked after many different nationalities. Many didn’t speak any English on starting and are now ready for school speaking English very clearly.

My Fees

I am able to offer the government funding for all ages. We offer tax free childcare. I am open all year round except Bank Holidays and we take a total of 4 weeks holiday per year, these dates are given to parents in January. My rates are in line with other providers in the locality. Lou and Adam are fun, loving and caring people. My son has been looked after by them since he was 10 months old and he has developed and learnt so much. At 2.5 years old, he is a fantastic talker and has great confidence. He always has a great time with Lou and Adam and absolutely adores their 2 younger children too. Not only have Lou and Adam become my son’s second home, but they’ve also become our friends :)

From the moment I met Tamaris and Adam, I knew they were the best people to be looking after my 2 year old son. Over the past 12 months, they have provided exceptional care, and I am truly grateful for everything they have done to support my son’s growth and development.
The environment they provide is not only safe and nurturing but also stimulating and fun. I have watched my son thrive under their care, learning new skills, developing confidence, and becoming more independent.
You can see how Tamaris and Adam genuinely care about each child and go above and beyond to create a welcoming atmosphere where both children and parents feel comfortable. They’ve been incredibly accommodating, always understanding of our family’s changing needs.
The bond they’ve formed with my son is heartwarming, and it’s clear he feels loved, supported, and valued in their care. Choosing Tamaris and Adam was the best decision we made for our son, and I cannot recommend them highly enough to any parent looking for outstanding childcare.

My daughter was 2 and a half when she started going to Tamaris. It was a great place where I knew my daughter is safe and have a great place to develop and learn. She is now going to school but occasionally will go to Tamaris. Both Tamaris and her husband are fun,kind people and my daughter absolutely loved to chat with them. I highly reccomend Tamris if you are looking for friendly and reliable people!
