About Me

I am a mature qualified Nanny with extensive experience caring for babies and young children . I love supporting children and helping them to reach their developmental milestones through fun interactions and stimulating, enjoyable games and activities.
I am a very caring, gentle person, with the ability to help children to feel safe ,loved and secure ,especially when they are feeling upset,missing mummy&daddy and need comforting. My approach to caring for children is always gentle, sensitive and thoughtful to their needs. I try to build self confidence and self esteem in children by allowing them to freely express their thoughts, fears, concerns, likes and dislikes , knowing that this will not only boost their confidence but help to build trust and a greater bond between us. I love to engage and talk to and sing with babies and children .l treat children fairly, l’m sympathetic , understanding ,very warm and supportive towards them. I always support a child’s positive efforts and appreciate them as people.
Through play I enjoy teaching children basic pre school skills that help to develop their physical , intellectual ,emotional and social development. I enjoy researching and organising activities like , parks, playgrounds, stay and play, rhyme time, Music groups, baby sensory, soft play,ball-pit,dancing ,movement and music, play dates and much more, always gearing activities to the interest of the child. I am SUPER creative and always introduce all children l care for to my love of art . I’m not afraid of messy play hands, feet ,face painting, glueing,sticking, “water etc, l know children learn through fun play experiences .
I am a happy individual with a super sense of humour, very patience, calm ,who enjoys and loves watching children grow and gets exciting when they achieve new skills . I am proactive and able to use my initiative and common sense.
I love creating laughter and smiles in children and I am a big serial hugger with endless cuddles that l always give .
Safety is at the top of my list, so l do like to set boundaries with older children who are able to understand to keep them safe.
