About Me
I am OFSTED registered childminder and a mum of four. My children's ages range from 15 to 25.
My provision is open plan, bright, airy and child focussed which allows early years foundation stage to make their own choice on activity alongside a planned and stimulating learning experiences. I focussed on being family orientated with respectful and inclusive values.
I have a level 3 diploma in children and young people’s workforce I employ two staff qualified with BA in primary early years and a nursery nurse.
I am on both the compulsory and voluntary registers. I have 25 years of experience and understand the demands of children's individual needs from birth and early years through to teenage years. I believe children learn best when they are healthy, safe and secure, when their individual needs are met and when they have positive relationships with the adults caring for them.
I have a background in restaurant management. My hobbies include cooking and further education. I am an active parent who encourages my own children to indulge in sport and a healthy lifestyle.
Food is important to us as a family and I encourage my children to get involved in food preparation and to explore a variety of fresh seasonal home-made food.

Hi Chloe
Thank you leaving your review. It has been a pleasure looking after your two young sons. They are both amazing characters! I can’t believe your eldest will be starting school in September. He has made amazing progress in all areas of learning. I can’t wait to see him in uniform in September when you drop off your youngest xx
Ralph started with Vicci full-time at 9 months as I returned to work. Vicci was so supportive through the challenges of those first months back at work, sending pix and little video clips through the day and at just the right moments! As Ralph grew it was clear how much he loved being with Vicci and Georgia. Vicci adores her job and as a result makes it seem effortless but she clearly works incredibly hard, as do the rest of the team to create a stimulating and fun environment for children to develop and grow. The children always looked like they are having a fantastic time and we often saw the results with new words and wonderful artwork, not to mention the football skills, dance moves and driving skills!
The outdoor space is brilliant for lots of outdoor activities. Indoors is exactly as you would want a playroom to be – homely, bright, clean, full of things to do, play with and read, and it is quite stylish too! It doesn’t have that slightly battered, worn feel that nurseries inevitably have.
When Ralph was attending, Vicci also had after school children. It was brilliant that Ralph was able to interact with children of all ages from babies to primary school children and also Vicci’s amazing family. It used to feel me with absolute joy when I walked towards the gate and could hear all the excited voices. And Vicci, would always have time for a chat, to fill us in on Ralph’s day, check in on my own and offer advice to a clueless new mum! This also gave me a valuable bit of time to enjoy seeing Ralph playing with his friends as well as meet other parents. At Christmas, when Santa came, everyone got together for games, gifts and party food. It was so special to be part of such a wonderful childcare family.
We moved up to Yorkshire in 2019 when Ralph turned two. Leaving Vicci’s was the hardest part of our move and, 18 months on, we still miss her and the family every day. Ralph has settled into a new nursery that he also loves but I don’t think it would be possible to find anywhere as loving, supportive and fun as Vicci’s. I really cannot recommend enough.

Dear Jeanette
Thank you kindly for leaving a review.
We were heartbroken when you moved away. Our little guy was loved by all and always so happy. My family miss him so much and our childcare family still talk about him all the time as his picture is still on our wall. We can’t wait for COVID to be gone so that you can come to London and visit us. We miss you so much and can’t wait to meet the new addition to your family ❤️
Super!!!!
Really happy with Vicci and staff. Our son is 2 now and has been with Vicci since he was around 6 months old.
Vicci and her staff are really good and knowledgeable in what they do.
But most importantly, my son is super happy there. The way his face lights up when he sees Vicci in the mornings is testament to that.
I would recommend Vicci to anyone. Very family friendly and the kids get plenty of individual attention.
We couldn't ask for a better childminder. Really happy. :-)

Thank you kindly for leaving a review Marijke. It is a pleasure looking after our “Baby G”. He is always full of smiles and energy! He was one of the smaller members of the family but has grown in strength, character and determination. A true pleasure to look after and loved by all! Sending lots of love x
My son (now 3 and a half) started with Vicci in September 2018 when he was a little over a year old. I have since then had twins, who are nearly 2, and who have also been attending Crown Childcare since they were 9 months old. All 3 of my children have totally thrived in this setting, and I really could not wish for more from a childcare environment.
If I start with the obvious, I find the nursery provides a safe, clean, and fun environment for my children to play and learn; the almost daily pictures and videos I receive show engaging activities (indoors and outdoors), fun play, and lots of positive stimulation. They have ample space and equipment in the separate nursery building and outdoor garden. Secondly, they eat varied healthy, nutritious and yummy meals, including a full hot dinner, which is great for me that they don't need a further meal when they get hone. Lastly, I feel confident that my children are developing and progressing well against their EYFS milestones. The termly reports are thorough and demonstrate that Crown are attentive to each of my children's development journeys.
The not so obvious, but that which has made the biggest mark is that Crown Childcare is a family. It is very evident that Vicci treats all of the children in her care as one big family. Not just her alone, but also how her staff and her children also engage with us. I particularly love how she encourages a family spirit between all the children in her care; it is something wonderful to see in a world where there can be so much division. The love and passion she has for what she does has just overwhelmed me. Having a 1yr old and being pregnant with twins was really difficult and Vicci went above and beyond to help me get through that period, whether with changes to my work schedule, or even helping my son prepare for the arrival of his twin siblings. When the twins joined Crown in Sep 2019 they settled in super quick and they have loved attending ever since. When I open the gate to her setting, all 3 of my children run to her for big morning hugs and when we jump in the car even at weekends, they ask if we are going to 'Vicci's house'; that is a true sign of someone that has shown them lots of positive care and affection.

Since meeting you initially when our little guy was about 5 months, to him starting with me and going through your pregnancy. Your children have bonded with ours and we will always be a part of each other’s families. Your children are kind and loving and have developed sibling-like relationships with the rest of our childcare family. I love them lots and can’t wait for our little guy to be big enough to take football! My little pebble and mr dinosaur are amazing characters and strong independent little people. We love them all!
My son 3 yrs absolutely loves going to school at Vikky’s she has a lovely set up in her large garden with everything a child needs to be creative and have fun . My son has learnt so much since starting there and we also had trouble with food as he is a very picky Eater but with the hard work from Vikky and her staff he now eats almost everything on the menu . I Wish I had found her sooner . I Would definitely recommend .
